Myaza
Cross-border payment infrastructure for Africa, powered by stablecoins.
On-chain activity
Stablecoin POS
Myaza POS is a merchant payment gateway that generates unique crypto payment addresses shared via QR codes for in-store and online acceptance. The system supports multiple cryptocurrencies across several blockchain networks, enabling merchants to convert received crypto to fiat instantly and settle to a bank account, or retain the crypto directly. Fund security relies on multi-signature wallet architecture. REST API endpoints and e-commerce plugins allow integration into existing checkout workflows.
Myaza
Cross-border payments within Africa have long been slower, more expensive, and more fragmented than transfers between Africa and the rest of the world, a friction-laden reality that costs the continent an estimated $150 billion per year in lost trade. Myaza was founded in 2022 to attack that gap directly, building payment rails that settle in stablecoins so money moves at internet speed regardless of which African currency sits on either end of a transfer.
What Myaza Does
Myaza operates two complementary products: a consumer-facing money app and a B2B infrastructure layer for businesses and developers.
The consumer app, available on iOS and Android, gives users a multi-currency wallet holding over 21 African currencies alongside USD-equivalent stablecoins. From within the same app, users can send money to recipients in 21+ African countries in seconds, convert between naira, Kenyan shillings, Ghanaian cedis, Ugandan shillings, and other local denominations, hold and spend USDC and USDT, and access a complimentary virtual USD card accepted globally for online purchases. The platform is designed to work without a traditional bank account: users receive funds via a unique @myaza-ID handle. The app carries a 4.6-star rating across 141 reviews on the Apple App Store and is developed by Flitstack LTD, the registered corporate entity behind Myaza.
The B2B layer is a production-grade crypto infrastructure API that lets African businesses and fintechs accept stablecoin payments across multiple blockchains — including Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, TRON, and Stellar — generate and manage wallets programmatically, bridge assets cross-chain via Wormhole, monitor addresses with real-time webhook notifications, and run point-of-sale sessions for both in-person and online flows.
The Stablecoin Rails
Myaza's core architectural decision is to settle cross-border flows in USDC and EURC rather than in volatile cryptocurrencies or slow SWIFT wires. This choice was driven in part by an early operational crisis: the team ran out of liquidity while processing high-volume transfers and recognized that traditional correspondent banking could not scale fast enough for their growth targets.
By routing settlements through stablecoins, Myaza abstracts every layer of blockchain complexity from its end users. The swap, the network fees, and the liquidity management happen invisibly. Users see a clean local-currency experience on both sides of a transaction, while the settlement layer runs on digital-dollar rails that confirm in seconds rather than days. The platform supports receiving USDT and USDC across Solana, Ethereum, and other networks, giving users and businesses flexibility in how they fund accounts and receive payments.
POS and Merchant Acceptance
In February 2026, Myaza launched a stablecoin-powered point-of-sale device targeting Lagos merchants who regularly serve international customers. The device lets businesses accept USDC at the counter or at checkout, with automatic settlement to naira or stablecoin retention depending on the merchant's preference. Settlement completes in under one minute, around the clock, at a cost of a few cents per transaction — removing the 3 to 4 percent card processing fees and multi-day SWIFT delays that previously made international in-person commerce cumbersome for African small businesses.
Infrastructure Partners and Ecosystem
Myaza has established infrastructure partnerships with Fincra, Yellow Card, and Bridge to extend its settlement and liquidity coverage across African markets. It is a recognized participant in Circle's Arc ecosystem, which positions USDC and EURC as the settlement layer for internet-native finance. Yellow Card — one of Africa's largest licensed stablecoin infrastructure providers operating in 20+ African countries — serves as a key liquidity and off-ramp partner, enabling Myaza to meet last-mile local currency payouts at scale.
Team and Traction
Myaza was co-founded by Charles Archibong (CEO), Cyril Uket (CTO), and Richard Ingwe (COO), with legal and compliance led by Ibi Mboto. The team is approximately 13 to 14 people and is primarily based in Lagos, Nigeria, though the company is incorporated in the United States. The founders chose Lagos over relocation to Germany and Estonia specifically to build the product in the market it serves.
The platform processed over 3 billion naira in transactions in its first year of operation without spending on paid advertising, reaching 6,000+ customers through word-of-mouth. As of 2025 to 2026, Myaza reports more than 25,000 registered users, month-on-month growth of 23 percent, cumulative transaction volume of approximately $15 million, and over 3,400 businesses using its platform across 20+ African nations. The company remains bootstrapped with no external funding rounds disclosed.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Solana's high throughput, sub-second finality, and low transaction fees make it a natural rail for the high-frequency, small-value transfers that define remittance and micro-merchant commerce in Africa. Myaza's infrastructure API lists Solana among the supported chains for wallet creation, payment acceptance, and stablecoin receipt — meaning developers building on top of Myaza can route USDC and USDT flows through Solana when speed and cost matter most. As USDC adoption on Solana continues to grow, with Solana now among the highest-volume stablecoin settlement networks globally, Myaza is positioned to leverage that liquidity depth for African financial corridors that have historically been underserved by crypto infrastructure.
