Kinetic
Kinetic is a unified Solana-native trading platform that bundles token discovery, DEX aggregation, advanced order execution, and portfolio analytics into a single interface. Where most traders on Solana navigate between a handful of separate tools — a launchpad scanner here, a DEX aggregator there, a separate charting terminal elsewhere — Kinetic is built around the premise that every stage of the trading lifecycle should live in one place.
Background and Team
Kinetic was founded in 2023 by Grant Stenger, a quantitative researcher and trader who previously worked at Numerai, Jane Street, and Polychain Capital. The project is headquartered in San Francisco and has raised approximately $10 million in funding from institutional backers including Sequoia Capital, Jump Crypto, Dao5, and SVAngel. Before launching its first incentive season, the platform had already crossed $100 million in cumulative trading volume — a figure that reflects early traction in a competitive segment of Solana's DeFi ecosystem.
Core Features
DEX Aggregation and Routing
At its core, Kinetic is a DEX aggregator. It routes swap orders across Solana's major liquidity venues to deliver optimal execution pricing, drawing on the same approach as established aggregators like Jupiter. The platform provides access to more than one million Solana tokens, with smart routing algorithms designed to minimize slippage and reduce fees on multi-hop routes.
Token Discovery
The Discover module functions as a market intelligence hub. Users can browse customizable token feeds and sort by holder count, trading volume, price change, and other metrics. This gives both retail traders and more active participants a way to surface emerging opportunities without leaving the main interface.
Trenches Mode
For traders active on new token launches, Kinetic offers a dedicated Trenches section that integrates with Solana's launchpad ecosystem. It enables fast swaps on newly listed tokens, giving users a single interface for both early-stage speculation and established token trading.
Analytics and Charting
Integrated TradingView charts sit alongside wallet transaction history and token-level social and contract information. This removes the need to switch between a charting tool and a trading interface — a friction point Kinetic explicitly targets in its product design.
Social Layer
Users can set up searchable public profiles that display trading statistics. Kinetic has described plans to expand this layer into chat and group functionality, drawing a comparison to Bloomberg Terminal's social features. This kind of peer-visible performance layer encourages engagement and makes the platform stickier for competitive traders.
Mobile-First Design
The interface is built to be responsive and usable on mobile, with streamlined flows for token discovery and fast purchase execution. This reflects a design priority toward the retail trader segment, where much of Solana's meme token and new launch activity originates.
Rewards and Incentive Structure
Kinetic runs a Levels system that redistributes a portion of platform fees back to active traders. Depending on a user's trading volume tier, they can receive between 25% and 40% of trading fees back as rebates. The system also includes a multi-tier referral program and a Kinetic points program, with points earned through trading activity convertible through future airdrop distributions.
The platform has also incorporated gamification elements including arcade games, daily streaks, and competitive leaderboards. These mechanics are designed to increase engagement frequency and reward consistent platform usage beyond pure trading activity.
SUPA: Kinetic's Approach to MEV Protection
One of Kinetic's most technically ambitious contributions to the Solana ecosystem is SUPA — Solana Uniform-Price Auctions — a batch-auction AMM architecture developed by Stenger and the Kinetic team.
MEV (maximal extractable value) sandwich attacks have been a persistent problem on Solana. In 2025 alone, approximately 1.55 million sandwich attacks extracted an estimated $13.43 million from Solana traders. These attacks work by front-running a pending transaction and then immediately back-running it to capture the price movement caused by the victim's trade.
SUPA addresses this at the AMM level rather than relying on off-chain filtering or private mempools. Instead of processing trades in strict sequence where the fastest bot wins, SUPA aggregates all orders within a Solana slot and settles them at a single uniform clearing price. Because every participant in a given slot receives the same execution price, there is no advantage to be captured by ordering trades before or after another — the arbitrage opportunity that makes sandwich attacks profitable simply does not exist under the SUPA model.
The batch-auction structure also has implications for liquidity providers. By reducing the amount of value extracted through exploitative order flow, SUPA is designed to make providing liquidity on Kinetic's pools more predictable and less adversarial. Grant Stenger has written publicly about the protocol design at grantstenger.com/supa, and Kinetic presented a technical overview of SUPA at Solana's Breakpoint 2025 conference.
SUPA CPMM (Constant Product Market Maker) launched as a live product on kinetic.xyz, representing one of the first deployed implementations of uniform-price batch auctions on Solana. The protocol is designed to complement rather than replace traditional AMM liquidity — it is part of Kinetic's broader positioning as a platform that prioritizes execution fairness alongside trading efficiency.
Positioning in the Solana DEX Landscape
Kinetic operates in a segment of Solana DeFi that has grown increasingly crowded, with Jupiter, Axiom, and other aggregators and trading terminals competing for active trader attention. Kinetic's differentiation rests on two pillars: the breadth of its integrated experience (discovery, execution, portfolio, social all in one place) and the SUPA protocol as a technical answer to MEV that none of its direct competitors have matched at the AMM layer.
The platform is listed in Phantom Wallet's app directory, giving it distribution within one of Solana's largest user-facing wallet products. It is also accessible directly via kinetic.xyz and maintains an active community on Discord and X (formerly Twitter) at @kinetic_xyz.
Kinetic represents one of the more fully-formed attempts to build a trading terminal for Solana that competes on user experience depth rather than routing efficiency alone — a bet that consolidation of tools, combined with meaningful MEV protection, can carve out a durable position in a market where most traders still operate across multiple fragmented surfaces.
