How It Works

ICONOMI operates on a two-sided marketplace model centered on a product called Crypto Strategies.

Strategists are experienced investors or portfolio managers who create and publicly share diversified crypto portfolios. They select which assets to include, set target allocations, and decide when to rebalance. Strategists set their own fee structures and earn income based on the assets under management that copiers bring to their strategy.

Copiers are retail investors who browse the published Strategies, review track records and composition, and with one click begin mirroring a Strategist's portfolio in real time. When the Strategist rebalances, ICONOMI automatically executes the same trades proportionally in each copier's account. The copier benefits from professional-grade portfolio management without running trades themselves.

Users who prefer full control can bypass the copy-trading layer entirely and construct their own custom strategy from ICONOMI's catalog of 160+ supported cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and a wide range of altcoins and stablecoins.

Regardless of approach, all assets are held in custody by ICONOMI using a multi-signature cold wallet architecture. Users never hold their own private keys; the trade-off is counterparty risk in exchange for operational simplicity.

ICONOMI charges a 0.5% trading fee per transaction (minimum 0.5 EUR) and a 0.37% rebalancing fee when portfolio structures change. Strategist fees are set independently by each manager and vary by strategy. One example charges 3% annually for a blockchain index product while others levy performance fees up to 15% on gains above a benchmark. Cryptocurrency withdrawal fees follow standard network rates.

Regulatory Status and Security

ICONOMI holds MiFID II authorization, the European Union's principal framework for financial instruments, which requires adherence to investor-protection, transparency, and conduct-of-business rules that most crypto platforms do not meet. Team and Background

ICONOMI was founded in Ljubljana, Slovenia, by Tim Zagar and Jani Valjavec, the same team behind Cashila, a Bitcoin payment gateway. Solana on ICONOMI

Solana (SOL) is one of more than 160 cryptocurrencies available on the ICONOMI platform. Users can include SOL in a custom strategy, copy Strategies from Strategists who hold SOL as part of a diversified allocation, or purchase SOL directly alongside other assets. Automated rebalancing tools apply to SOL positions the same way they apply to any other supported asset, giving users the ability to maintain a target SOL allocation without manual intervention.
