FxWallet

FxWallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet developed by ECHOINFI PTE. LTD., a private limited company based in Singapore. The wallet targets users who manage assets across many blockchains, supporting over 80 networks including Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum within a single application available on Android.

Multi-Chain Scope and Asset Management

The wallet's primary proposition is breadth. Rather than optimising for one chain, FxWallet aggregates over 80 blockchain networks under a unified interface where private keys are encrypted and stored locally on the user's device. According to the project's documentation, this design means no private key material leaves the device, which removes a class of server-side custody risk that cloud-based wallets carry.

A swift asset identification system lets users locate newly added tokens or assets that fail to appear automatically across the supported chains. This is a practical concern for multi-chain wallets: token lists for 80+ networks are large, and newly launched assets or less-indexed tokens often require manual discovery. FxWallet addresses this with a dedicated search and add-token flow documented in its official guide.

Cold Wallet Mode and Offline Signing

One distinguishing feature is a built-in cold wallet function. On most mobile wallets, private keys are always online alongside the signing interface. FxWallet provides an offline signing path where transactions can be prepared on a connected device, signed on an air-gapped instance, and broadcast separately. This mode reduces exposure to network-based attack vectors when signing high-value or sensitive transactions. The feature is accessible within the standard application without requiring a separate hardware device, though the wallet also supports hardware wallet integration for users who prefer external signing.

Transaction records are presented in a human-readable format that shows the actual content of what is being signed, rather than raw hexadecimal data or opaque contract interactions. This matters practically in DeFi contexts where approval transactions often carry broad permissions; the wallet surfaces what the signature authorises in plain language before the user confirms.

Swaps and DApp Access

FxWallet includes both single-chain and cross-chain swap functionality. The cross-chain swaps carry MEV protection, which routes transactions to avoid front-running and sandwich attacks common on public mempools. The project describes this as a curated execution path rather than a raw on-chain swap, though the specific routing infrastructure is not detailed in public documentation.

A curated DApp browser is built into the application, giving access to decentralised applications directly within the wallet interface. This is a common feature among multi-chain wallets competing for daily active use, allowing users to interact with protocols on Solana and other supported chains without switching to a separate browser application.

Development and Technical Foundation

FxWallet's open-source contributions are maintained under the fxwalletOfficial organisation on GitHub, based in Singapore. The primary public repository, fx-wallet-packages, contains Flutter and Dart packages described as "essential tools for Web3 wallet development." This package set underpins the mobile application and is released under the MIT licence, last updated in August 2026. The Flutter and Dart foundation means the application targets both Android and iOS from a single codebase, consistent with the wallet's availability on Android via the Google Play Store under the package identifier com.fxfi.fxwallet.

A second repository, aleo_dart, provides Rust-based support for Aleo blockchain operations and is listed as a temporary restoration pending migration to a replacement repository.

Security Model

The wallet's stated security model rests on local key encryption: private keys never leave the device in unencrypted form, and no server-side account recovery is offered. This is the standard trade-off for self-custody wallets — the user bears full responsibility for backing up their mnemonic phrase or private key. FxWallet's documentation covers mnemonic phrase management explicitly, noting that the 12-24 word phrase is functionally equivalent to the private key and requires the same level of protection.

Additional security layers described by the project include automatic phishing site blocking when users access DApps through the built-in browser, high-risk signature warnings that flag unusual or potentially dangerous contract interactions, and malicious authorisation checks that identify approval transactions with unusually broad token spending rights.

Biometric login is supported on compatible devices, providing authentication without exposing the underlying key material on every unlock.

Ecosystem Position

FxWallet competes in a crowded field of multi-chain mobile wallets. Its combination of a cold wallet mode, MEV-protected swaps, and human-readable transaction records distinguishes it from wallets that offer only basic custody and token transfer. On Solana specifically, users can manage SOL and SPL tokens, interact with Solana-based DApps through the integrated browser, and access cross-chain swap routes that bridge between Solana and the wallet's other supported networks.

The project maintains a Discord community server and is active on X as @FxWallet, with the development organisation on GitHub updated as recently as August 2026.
