About

Foxbit

Foxbit is a Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange and digital asset fintech founded in October 2014, making it one of the longest-operating crypto platforms in Latin America. Over more than eleven years of operation, the exchange has accumulated more than 1.5 million registered users and has processed over 50 billion Brazilian reais in transactions across its group of companies. The platform has received media coverage from major Brazilian and international outlets including Valor Econômico, Folha de S.Paulo, Bloomberg, Exame, Forbes, and CNN Brasil, and was ranked among the top 10 expansion businesses in EXAME's 2025 edition.

Core Exchange and Trading

Foxbit's primary product is a spot cryptocurrency exchange serving the Brazilian market. The platform supports more than 100 digital assets spanning major cryptocurrencies, DeFi tokens, gaming and metaverse tokens, and tokenized real-world assets. Trading is available through web and mobile applications, with an order book the company describes as the most advanced in the Brazilian market.

The exchange uses a maker-taker fee model with distinct rate schedules for fiat and crypto pairs. For Brazilian real (BRL) pairs, limit (passive) orders are charged 0.25% and market (active) orders 0.50%. Crypto-to-crypto pairs carry lower rates, with limit orders at 0.02% and market orders at 0.15%. BRL deposits via PIX or TED transfers carry no fee and are processed around the clock including holidays. BRL withdrawals to bank accounts are also fee-free. Cryptocurrency deposits are free, while withdrawal fees are network-based and subject to change.

VIP Tier Program

Foxbit offers a twelve-tier VIP program that progressively reduces trading fees based on 30-day rolling volume. Tier eligibility begins at R$25,000 in monthly volume and scales to over R$1 billion for the highest classification. Maker fees compress from 0.25% at the entry level to -0.030% (negative maker fee) at VIP 12, while taker fees decline from 0.50% to 0.05%. Tier recalculation runs automatically each midnight using the trailing 30-day activity window. Members at VIP 2 and above receive dedicated WhatsApp support, with higher tiers gaining access to personalized consulting from specialist teams.

Account verification levels govern deposit and withdrawal limits. Simplified registration allows up to R$5,000 per month in each direction, while fully verified accounts can deposit up to R$75,000 per month and withdraw up to R$300,000 per month, with cryptocurrency limits set on a personalized basis.

Consumer Products

Foxbit Earn allows users to generate daily returns on held crypto assets, functioning as a yield product built into the exchange account.

Foxbit Card is a payment card accepted at more than 100 million merchants globally, offering up to 1% cashback on eligible purchases. The card connects to the user's exchange balance, allowing spending directly in cryptocurrency. Domestic ATM withdrawals on the Cirrus network cost R$6.90, and international card transactions include Brazil's 6% IOF tax on foreign exchange.

Crypto Assets refers to Foxbit's tokenized real-world asset offering, where users can purchase fixed-income digital tokens. Recent issuances include the FTALLU-01 series tied to the subscription economy, and additional series such as FTMANN, FTAPR, and FTM3K. These tokens carry a 0.5% purchase fee and a 5% fee for early redemption.

Business-to-Business Services

Foxbit has developed a suite of B2B infrastructure products that extend the exchange's capabilities to third-party companies.

Foxbit Pay enables businesses and individual merchants to accept cryptocurrency payments. It targets enterprises that want to offer crypto as a payment method without operating their own exchange infrastructure.

Compra Fácil is a crypto-as-a-service white-label solution that allows companies to launch their own branded exchange operations using Foxbit's underlying infrastructure.

Foxbit Tokens offers blockchain-based tokenization services for real-world assets, targeting companies seeking to issue digital representations of physical or financial assets.

Foxbit Gateway facilitates intermediation between Brazilian reais and international currencies, bridging the domestic financial system with global markets.

Foxbit Prime Desk is the newest institutional product, providing cross-border settlement infrastructure built on stablecoins (digital dollar). The service allows exchange brokers and companies with international operations to move money across borders in a three-step process: the client sends BRL domestically, Foxbit converts and settles using digital dollars, and funds arrive in USD at the destination. Settlement completes in minutes rather than the days required by traditional correspondent banking. Planned expansion will add EUR and JPY settlement options. The service targets exchange brokers, import-export businesses, corporate treasuries, and remittance operators. Operations comply with Brazil's Central Bank guidelines for digital asset transactions.

Regulatory and Security Posture

Foxbit holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security management and ISO/IEC 27701 certification for privacy information management, obtained as of 2026. The exchange is a member of ABCRIPTO (Associação Brasileira de Criptoeconomia) and MID (Movimento pela Inovação Digital), two Brazilian industry associations active in regulatory engagement. The company participated in Brazil's Real Digital pilot project run by the Banco Central do Brasil, the central bank's initiative to develop a Brazilian central bank digital currency.

The platform sets a minimum age of 16 years, with parental authorization required for users between 16 and 17.

Developer API

Foxbit offers both REST and WebSocket APIs, currently at version 3 for both interfaces. The v3 REST API provides access to market data (currencies, markets, quotes, order book, ticker history), order management, and deposit and withdrawal operations. The v3 WebSocket API supports real-time market data subscriptions and low-latency trading operations. Both v3 APIs replaced earlier v2 interfaces that are in the process of being deprecated. Developer documentation is hosted at docs.foxbit.com.br, with a status page available for monitoring platform uptime.

Market Position

Foxbit's 7.8 out of 10 satisfaction rating on Reclame Aqui, Brazil's largest consumer dispute resolution platform, reflects its standing among Brazilian retail crypto users. The combination of retail exchange, consumer financial products, and a growing B2B infrastructure layer positions Foxbit as a multi-segment fintech rather than a pure trading venue. Its eleven-year operating history, regulatory certifications, and participation in official central bank programs distinguish it from newer entrants in the Brazilian crypto market.
