depouch

depouch is a cross-chain DEX providing permissionless native asset swaps across multiple blockchain networks through THORChain and Maya Protocol as underlying AMM liquidity sources. The platform selects optimal routing between the two protocols for each transaction, enabling direct wallet-to-wallet swaps of layer-1 cryptocurrencies without KYC or registration. Users connect wallets, specify source and destination assets, and track swap progress directly on-chain.

What Is depouch?

depouch is a cross-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) that lets users swap native cryptocurrencies across 18 blockchains without an account, KYC verification, or wrapped tokens. The platform routes trades through THORChain and Maya Protocol, settling real assets directly at the destination address. Its stated goal is to make self-custody cross-chain trading as simple as connecting a wallet and choosing a pair.

Core Mechanism

depouch is a frontend aggregator sitting above two established cross-chain liquidity protocols.

THORChain is the primary liquidity layer. It uses vault-based architecture to settle native assets — actual BTC, actual ETH, actual SOL — without custodial bridges or synthetic representations. The protocol bonds validator security to liquidity depth using its native RUNE token: as pool liquidity grows, the bond required of node operators increases proportionally, raising the economic cost of attacks.

Maya Protocol is a secondary liquidity source and supplementary router. Described by the depouch team as a friendly fork of THORChain, it provides backup swap quotes and coverage for pairs where THORChain liquidity is thin, using its native CACAO token for bonding. Maya added native Cardano (ADA) support, which depouch enabled as a listed trading route upon Maya's integration.

NEAR Intents is a third routing option depouch has integrated, giving users an additional path for swaps and a fallback that remained live during periods when THORChain was temporarily suspended.

Solana on depouch

Solana became a supported chain on depouch following THORChain's native SOL integration, which went live on February 26, 2026. THORChain's vault model settles actual SOL at destination addresses rather than through wrapped or synthetic proxies, eliminating the custodial and bridge risk that has caused large-scale losses in other cross-chain systems. As SOL liquidity pools on THORChain have bootstrapped, depouch has progressively enabled SOL trading routes alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other Layer-1 pairs.

For Solana users, depouch offers a permissionless path to swap SOL into assets on other chains — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, BNB Chain — without touching a centralized exchange. For users of other chains, it provides a KYC-free route to acquire native SOL.

Key Features

No KYC or account. Swaps require only a connected wallet. No email, registration, or identity verification.

Native asset settlement. Users receive the actual coin on the destination chain, not a wrapped or synthetic stand-in.

Multi-protocol routing. THORChain and Maya Protocol quotes are displayed side by side where both are available, allowing users to select the better rate or route.

Redundant architecture. Running two independent routing protocols limits downtime when one is paused. During THORChain's May 2026 exploit, depouch suspended THORChain routes while NEAR Intents trading remained active.

Transaction tracking. The interface shows real-time swap status from initiation through settlement, which can range from seconds to several hours depending on destination chain finality.

Wallet support. The platform supports eight wallet types, including MetaMask, TronLink, and Ctrl Wallet.

Sanctioned-address screening. depouch maintains a public list of flagged addresses and screens swaps against it. During the May 2026 THORChain hack, the team publicly identified the attacker's node and flagged the associated Ethereum address within hours.

Supported Assets and Chains

Official sources and platform listings confirm support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Tron, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Cardano, Cosmos, and others across 18 blockchains. Supported tokens include BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, AVAX, TRX, ADA, USDT, USDC, DAI, DOGE, ATOM, XRP, XMR (Monero), ZEC (Zcash), RUNE (THORChain), CACAO (Maya Protocol), TCY (THORChain yield token), and Venice Token (VVV). The VVV listing, announced in July 2026, shows the team continues to expand the coin set as new assets gain liquidity on THORChain and Maya.

Security and Protocol Risk

depouch does not hold user funds at any point. The non-custodial model means swap security is determined primarily by the underlying routing protocols.

THORChain suffered a significant exploit in May 2026, with approximately 7.4 million USD in losses. depouch promptly suspended THORChain-based trading and provided real-time public updates tracking the exploit. After THORChain's developer team patched the vulnerability and completed a security review, depouch re-enabled THORChain routes. No independent audit of depouch's own frontend code has been publicly disclosed.

Team

The depouch team operates with limited public disclosure. A community member identified by the handle BubbiByte represented the project on the THORChain Community Podcast in July 2026. No founders, legal entity, or full team roster is publicly documented. The team maintains active social presence across X, Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Medium.

Volume and Scale

As of mid-2026, depouch has processed approximately 199,000 USD in total swap volume across 213 transactions from 69 unique addresses. These figures indicate an early-stage project still bootstrapping liquidity and usage. The platform's integration with THORChain's Solana pools, combined with SOL's large retail user base, represents a potential growth vector as cross-chain SOL liquidity deepens.

Ecosystem Fit

depouch occupies the inbound cross-chain DEX segment of the Solana ecosystem. It provides a permissionless, no-KYC path for bringing SOL into multi-chain swaps and for acquiring SOL from other chains — without relying on bridges, wrapped representations, or centralized intermediaries. By routing through THORChain's native Solana integration, depouch extends the demand surface for SOL as a tradable asset in the broader decentralized cross-chain liquidity market.

Its value proposition is primarily about user experience: a simplified interface above the technical complexity of THORChain and Maya Protocol, with step-by-step guides, wallet tutorials, and accessible onboarding content for users new to non-custodial cross-chain trading.
