Core Mechanism
Cregis secures assets using Multi-Party Computation based on the GG18 protocol. Private key shards are distributed across multiple devices and Trusted Execution Environments, so no single compromised machine can expose funds. Hardware Security Modules meeting FIPS 140 standards add a second hardware isolation layer, ensuring key material never exists in plaintext in software memory. A Sign What You See policy requires operators to verify the exact transaction content before execution, closing off blind-signing attack vectors.
On top of this security base, Cregis supports three deployment modes. The self-custody MPC wallet gives institutional teams collaborative control over key shards with configurable M-of-N signing thresholds. Wallet-as-a-Service exposes a RESTful API with SDKs in Java, Go, PHP, and C#, enabling developers to embed multi-chain wallet functionality into existing products. A desktop application for Mac and Windows serves operators who prefer a GUI over direct API integration.

Supported Assets and Networks
Cregis covers more than 40 blockchain networks. Solana support is confirmed through the company open-source anychain multi-chain Rust SDK on GitHub, which explicitly lists Solana among its supported chains, and through a dedicated anychain-solana repository described as a purpose-built Rust library for Solana wallet operations and transaction construction. Institutional clients can custody SOL and transact on Solana under the same MPC security framework applied across all other chains on the platform.
Security and Compliance
Cregis holds two major compliance certifications: SOC 2 Type I and Type II from AICPA, and ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Smart contract code has been audited by CertiK. Real-time AML screening runs via Elliptic and Regtank integrations, applying Know Your Transaction and Know Your Address checks to every transaction.
On the licensing side, Cregis holds a US Money Services Business registration and a Hong Kong Trust or Company Service Provider license, acquired in 2025. The company was also pursuing a Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority custody license in Dubai at the same time. Cregis reports a zero-security-incident track record across nine years of operation, with more than 300 billion US dollars in transactions processed.

CEO Shawn Yan founded Cregis in 2017 and is described as an early blockchain industry pioneer.
