BoundlessPay
BoundlessPay is a mobile digital banking application that enables cryptocurrency management, cross-border money transfers, interest-earning savings, bill payments, and card services. Users manage digital assets across multiple cryptocurrencies, send funds globally, participate in savings programs, pay for utilities and airtime, and access virtual cards for online and offline purchases.
BoundlessPay
BoundlessPay is a global digital banking application built for cross-border collections, payments, and settlements. Founded in 2020 by Franklin Peters and incorporated in Nigeria and the British Virgin Islands, the project targets users in Africa and other emerging markets who face currency depreciation, high forex fees, and unreliable banking infrastructure. The platform bridges centralized finance (CeFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) by using USD-pegged stablecoins -- primarily USDT and USDC -- as the settlement layer for money transfers, currency exchanges, and everyday spending. Users download the mobile or web app and can immediately send and receive money across borders, swap currencies, and access virtual financial products. On-ramp and off-ramp functionality allows movement between local fiat and stablecoin balances within seconds, a critical feature for markets where US dollar access is restricted or carries a premium on informal exchanges. The platform issues virtual USD cards that let users spend stablecoin balances anywhere Visa or Mastercard is accepted, in-store or online, without the merchant knowing the underlying balance is crypto. Users can also hold virtual USD-denominated fiat accounts providing a dollar savings layer without a US bank account, pay utility bills including airtime and data directly through the app, and swap between local currencies and stablecoins in a single interface. BoundlessPay targets the African diaspora remittance corridor alongside domestic use cases in Nigeria, where demand for stablecoin dollar alternatives has surged amid naira volatility. The BPAY utility token, issued on the Base network (an Ethereum L2), launched in October 2024 following a multi-round fundraise that raised approximately $1.1 million at a fully diluted valuation of $8 million. Rounds progressed from $0.004 per token at pre-seed, $0.005 at seed, $0.006 at private strategic, to $0.008 at IDO listed on Spores, Kingdomstarter, and Kommunitas, with the token also listed on Uniswap and MEXC Exchange. Total supply is 1 billion BPAY. As of mid-2026, BPAY trades significantly below its IDO price with CryptoRank classifying the IDO status as inactive. Investors in BoundlessPay include Adaverse (EMURGO Africa accelerator), Tekedia Capital, Aleph Seed, and Meer Energy. The platform supports USDC as one of its core reserve assets, a stablecoin natively issued on Solana and central to Solana payment rails that processed over $1 trillion in stablecoin volume in 2025. As of July 2026, BoundlessPay remains an active operating project with the team continuing to market the platform to everyday crypto card spenders.
