About

Boop

Boop is a permissionless meme token launchpad on Solana that lets anyone spin up community tokens — called "cults" — through a bonding curve mechanism, with a native BOOP token that aligns incentives across creators, traders, and stakers.

What Is Boop?

Boop (boop.fun) launched in May 2025 as a Solana-native platform for creating and trading meme tokens. The core premise is simple: anyone can deploy a new token in seconds, give it a name, ticker, image, and a narrative ("lore"), then let market participants trade it up a bonding curve toward graduation. The platform is designed around social-first mechanics, framing every launched token as a "cult" rather than a traditional project — a deliberate aesthetic choice that signals community-driven, narrative-led speculation rather than venture-backed fundraising.

Boop is associated with Dingaling, a prominent NFT community figure (real name Dinghua Ziao), and operates within the broader Jupiter ecosystem on Solana. The platform targets the same niche as Pump.fun but differentiates itself through deeper tokenomic integration, creator incentives, and a platform-native token that shares revenue with stakers.

How It Works

Token creation on Boop is free and requires no coding. Creators submit a name, ticker, image, and lore — an optional narrative that defines the cult's identity. They can also pre-buy an initial allocation and designate social media accounts (X, GitHub, TikTok, Instagram) as fee beneficiaries, linking on-chain revenue to real-world influence metrics.

Bonding curve pricing governs all new tokens. Approximately 75% of a cult's total supply is locked into a smart contract that adjusts price dynamically based on buy pressure. As demand rises, the price along the curve increases; selling pressure pushes it back down. The remaining ~25% of supply is reserved for airdrops, staking rewards, and community incentives — it does not enter the open market immediately.

Graduation occurs when a cult token's market cap reaches approximately 400 SOL (roughly $70,000 at launch-era prices, a threshold that aligns with trending visibility on Dexscreener). At graduation, a Raydium liquidity pool is automatically created and funded, the token transitions from bonding curve pricing to open DEX trading, and the project earns a listing in Boop's Hall of Fame. A 2% fee applies post-graduation, distributed to token holders rather than retained by the protocol.

Creator rewards are paid in BOOP at graduation, scaled to the cult's performance metrics during its bonding curve phase — trading volume, community engagement, and rank on the platform leaderboard. This creates ongoing competition between active cults for daily platform incentives.

The BOOP Token

BOOP is the platform's native token with a fixed supply of 1 billion. Its allocation reflects a strong bias toward incentivizing platform activity rather than insiders:

  • 50% — Platform graduation rewards (paid to cult creators and holders)
  • 15% — Airdrop (retroactive traders, influencers via KaitoAI data across 14,000+ X accounts)
  • 12% — Liquidity
  • 10% — Team (6-month cliff, 24-month vesting)
  • 10% — Staking reserves
  • 10% — Treasury
  • 3% — Angel investors

The majority of supply flows back to the community through the graduation reward system, positioning BOOP as a mechanism for redistributing launchpad revenue rather than enriching a founding team.

Staking BOOP earns two types of passive income: 60% of all trading fees generated by graduated cults, and 5% of each graduating cult's total token supply as an automatic airdrop. Active stakers therefore accumulate diversified exposure to every successful graduation on the platform, aligning their interests with overall launchpad health.

Ecosystem Integration and Traction

Boop launched on May 5, 2025 and generated immediate market interest: within its first 1.5 hours of trading, BOOP reached a market cap exceeding $500 million with nearly $64 million in trading volume. Within 20 hours of going live, the platform had integrated with trading tools including MEVX, SolTradingBot, and Ave.ai, giving cult token traders access to execution infrastructure from day one.

The platform is built on Solana Mainnet (program address: boop8hVGQGqehUK2iVEMEnMrL5RbjywRzHKBmBE7ry4), inheriting Solana's low transaction costs and sub-second finality. Graduated tokens land in Raydium pools, keeping the liquidity layer within the established Solana DEX ecosystem. The association with Jupiter — Solana's dominant aggregator — lent Boop early legitimacy and distribution reach.

The influencer airdrop strategy, using KaitoAI to identify and reward the top 14,000+ performing Twitter/X accounts in the Solana space, was a deliberate community-acquisition tactic that front-ran typical cold-start problems for new launchpads.

Security and Risks

As of its first year of operation, Boop does not have a formal third-party smart contract audit. CertiK Skynet assigned it a score of 74.13 (BBB), with code security and team verification flagged as weak areas. The platform's contracts carry several flagged concerns: proxy contract patterns, external call risks, a mint function, and owner privilege mechanisms that include modifiable balances and the ability to pause transfers. There is no established bug bounty program.

These risks are consistent with early-stage DeFi infrastructure and are particularly common in the memecoin launchpad category, where speed-to-market historically takes priority over audit coverage. Users should treat them as material, particularly given the speculative nature of the assets created on the platform.

The team credentials have also faced scrutiny: Dingaling's claimed roles as Binance's Chief Revenue Officer and PancakeSwap co-founder have been publicly disputed — most notably by Binance's CZ, who stated the CRO title never existed at Binance. Dingaling remains a recognizable and active figure in the Solana NFT and meme community regardless of disputed biographical claims.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Boop enters a competitive but growing market for meme token launchpads on Solana, competing directly with Pump.fun — the incumbent that processed billions in volume before Boop launched. Its key differentiators are the BOOP staking revenue share (aligning long-term holders with platform success), the social-first cult framing (designed for virality rather than infrastructure), and the Raydium graduation path (standard DEX liquidity rather than proprietary AMM).

By routing staking rewards through graduated cult fees rather than inflation, Boop creates a model where platform growth directly benefits BOOP stakers — a structural improvement over launchpads that simply charge fees without redistributing them. Whether the platform sustains graduation volume after initial hype determines whether this flywheel holds in practice.
