BoomFi

BoomFi is a London-based B2B crypto payment infrastructure company that enables merchants, SaaS platforms, and digital businesses to accept, manage, and settle cryptocurrency payments. Founded in 2022 and launched in 2023, the company describes itself as a universal payment suite built to bridge traditional fiat rails and on-chain settlement for businesses of all sizes.

What BoomFi Does

BoomFi provides an end-to-end payments stack covering the full merchant lifecycle, from accepting crypto at checkout through to fiat settlement in a business's bank account. The platform is designed to require no blockchain expertise on the merchant side: a business can go live with no-code tools and graduate to a full API integration as its needs grow.

The platform is non-custodial by design. When a buyer pays through BoomFi, funds transfer directly from the buyer's wallet to the merchant's designated settlement address. BoomFi never takes custody of funds in transit.

Product Suite

BoomFi's core offering breaks down into several distinct products:

Payment Links are hosted, shareable payment pages that require no code to create. A merchant generates a link and shares it via email, social media, or messaging apps; the buyer completes a crypto payment through a hosted checkout experience.

Checkout is a conversion-optimized, embeddable checkout widget for e-commerce sites and web apps. It is designed to drop into existing purchase flows with minimal engineering work.

Subscriptions enable on-chain recurring crypto payments. Rather than relying on manual renewals, the subscription product uses a smart contract mandate: a buyer authorizes a spending limit once, and BoomFi checks the wallet balance before each billing cycle, pulling the owed amount automatically on the due date. This mirrors how card-on-file subscriptions function in traditional payments.

Billing handles flexible pricing models including one-time, metered or usage-based, weekly, monthly, and annual plans, giving SaaS companies and service businesses the same billing primitives they are accustomed to from platforms like Stripe.

Pre-Payments supports presale mechanics for digital asset launches, allowing projects to accept crypto from buyers before a product or token is live.

Invoicing provides auto-reconciliation for B2B payments, covering the invoice-to-settlement workflow for professional services firms.

Crypto OTC offers an exchange service with tight spreads and fast liquidity for businesses that need to convert between fiat and crypto, or between different digital assets, without going through a retail exchange.

Card Ramp provides on- and off-ramp infrastructure connecting fiat card payments to crypto balances.

Supported Chains and Assets

BoomFi operates across multiple chains, describing itself as an omni-chain payment solution. Supported networks include Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, and Tron. Accepted payment tokens include ETH, USDC, USDT, SOL, and BTC. Solana's high throughput and low fees make it a featured chain for merchants seeking fast, inexpensive settlement.

Merchants can choose to settle in crypto — receiving funds directly to a self-custody wallet — or in fiat, with settlement available in USD, GBP, and EUR via bank transfer. Supported banking rails include SEPA, FPS, SWIFT, ACH, and Wire.

Pricing is set at a flat 1% plus $0.25 per transaction.

Integrations and Developer Access

BoomFi provides a REST API (version 2.0 with full OpenAPI documentation) covering organization management, payment link creation, subscription plan management, customer records, settlement account configuration, and webhook event delivery. Off-the-shelf integrations exist for Chargebee, Stripe Billing, WooCommerce, and WHMCS, allowing businesses on those billing platforms to add crypto payment acceptance without building from scratch.

The platform is also available as a white-label solution, enabling payment service providers and fintech platforms to embed BoomFi's payment rails under their own brand. This white-label model has driven several partnership integrations.

Team and Funding

BoomFi was co-founded by Jack Tang (CEO) and Michael Si (COO). In November 2023, the company added Chao Yan as co-founder and CTO. Yan brings 17 years of fintech engineering experience, including a prior role as technical co-founder and CTO at Elwood Technologies, where he helped the firm raise a $70 million Series A from Goldman Sachs, Dawn Capital, Barclays, and Galaxy Digital.

The company raised a $3.8 million seed round in June 2023, led by White Star Capital and joined by Passion Capital, Blockchain Founders Fund, Kraken Ventures, GSR, Aquanow, and Mantle Network. Strategic angel investors in the round included founders of MoonPay, Ramp Network, Transak, LayerZero, and The Giving Block, alongside former executives from Stripe, Revolut, and Worldpay. A follow-on seed round of approximately $750,000 closed in early 2024 with additional investors including Triton Capital and Yolo Investments, bringing total disclosed funding to roughly $4.55 million.

Compliance

BoomFi holds a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license in Poland. In October 2023, the company announced a partnership with TRM Labs, a blockchain intelligence firm, to integrate real-time wallet screening and transaction monitoring into its payment flows. The integration allows BoomFi to flag AML risks automatically before a transaction completes.

Recent Developments

In March 2025, BoomFi launched BoomFi 2.0, a major platform update the company described as defining the direction of its payment infrastructure going forward.

In May 2025, BoomFi announced a strategic partnership with Paytiko, a payment gateway that provides access to more than 500 payment providers. The integration brings BoomFi's crypto rails to Paytiko's existing merchant network. In the same month, business banking platform ONE.io partnered with BoomFi to launch ONE Gateway, embedding crypto payment acceptance and automated fiat settlement directly into ONE.io's banking accounts product. In mid-2025, payment orchestration platform BridgerPay integrated BoomFi to unlock stablecoin acceptance and settlement for BridgerPay's merchants.

BoomFi has also participated in major fintech industry events including Money 20/20 and IFX Europe, positioning itself in conversations at the intersection of traditional foreign exchange and emerging crypto payment rails.

Target Markets

BoomFi targets SaaS companies, e-commerce merchants, professional services firms, digital agencies, gift card issuers, donation platforms, and event ticketing businesses. Its combination of no-code tools for quick deployment and a full API for deep integration is intended to address both early-stage companies adding crypto as a payment option and larger platforms embedding crypto payments into their core product.
