Bitpowr

Bitpowr is digital asset custody infrastructure that combines MPC technology and hardware security modules for institutional wallet management. The platform provides multi-chain support, policy engines, tokenization capabilities, and compliance tools including AML/KYT monitoring across blockchain networks.

Bitpowr

Bitpowr is an institutional-grade wallet and digital assets infrastructure platform that gives businesses and developers a complete backend for managing on-chain assets — covering key custody, compliance, tokenization, and payments — across 15 blockchains and over 2,000 assets.

The Problem Bitpowr Solves

Building blockchain-native financial products is deceptively expensive. Before a crypto exchange, payment gateway, hedge fund, or fintech can move a single token for a customer, it needs secure key management, multi-chain wallet creation, transaction policy enforcement, AML screening, KYC flows, and on-chain settlement logic. Bitpowr's pitch is essentially "don't build it, buy it" — a modular infrastructure layer that cuts four to five months off typical development timelines.

How It Works

The security foundation is Multi-Party Computation (MPC). Rather than holding a single private key in one location, Bitpowr distributes key shares across multiple isolated locations. No single party ever possesses a complete key.

Bitpowr exposes three wallet archetypes: Custodial wallets (Bitpowr manages key shares), Non-custodial wallets (operators or end-users retain key control), and Smart contract wallets (programmable on-chain accounts). Developers interact through a REST API; a dashboard is available for non-technical operators.

Key Products

Wallet Infrastructure — wallet provisioning, key management, and transaction signing. A Secure Policy Engine adds approval flows, withdrawal limits, and address allowlists. Gas refill automation is included.

Compliance Engine — real-time AML and Know Your Transaction (KYT) screening before transactions settle.

Tokenization Engine — allows operators to deploy, mint, and burn custom digital tokens.

Settlement Infrastructure — handles on-chain swaps and cross-border transactions.

Solana Integration

Bitpowr's Solana support covers native SOL transfers, SPL tokens (USDC and USDT on Solana), and a custom fee payer feature that enables gasless transaction experiences for end users. The fee payer mechanism allows a separate address to subsidize transaction costs while a different address executes the transfer. For SPL token transfers to new addresses, the platform handles the rent fee (~0.00203928 SOL) transparently.

Scale and Track Record

As of early 2026, Bitpowr has processed over $1 billion in transaction volume alongside more than 51 million API calls, 2 million secured transactions, and 400,000 wallets created. Customers include cryptocurrency exchanges, OTC desks, retail platforms, and hedge funds concentrated in Africa (primarily Nigeria) and Southeast Asia including Hong Kong, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Team

Bitpowr was founded in 2020 by Toby Oyetoke (CEO and CTO) and Amarachi Amaechi (COO), incorporated in Delaware. Origins were explicitly emerging-market-focused before generalizing for global enterprise customers. Backed by 500 Global (formerly 500 Startups).

Ecosystem Fit on Solana

Bitpowr sits in the infrastructure layer of Solana. It is not a consumer-facing application but a platform that businesses building on Solana use as their custody and operations backend. For fintech companies launching Solana-powered savings or payment products in Africa or Southeast Asia, Bitpowr addresses the compliance and custody requirements that are typically the highest-friction part of going to market. Support for USDC on Solana is particularly relevant given Solana's role as a primary settlement layer for stablecoin-based payments in emerging markets.
