CryptoPay
CryptoPay is a WordPress plugin that implements peer-to-peer cryptocurrency payment gateway functionality, enabling direct wallet-to-wallet transactions without intermediaries or commission fees. The plugin supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, and all EVM-based blockchain networks, providing native WooCommerce integration and API connectivity for additional WordPress plugins.
BeycanPress
BeycanPress is a WordPress development studio based in Sheridan, Wyoming, founded in 2021 with a focus on blockchain and Web3 plugin development. The studio's primary product is CryptoPay, a self-custody cryptocurrency payment gateway for WordPress and WooCommerce, alongside a growing catalog of more than fifteen plugins that extend cryptocurrency functionality across the broader WordPress ecosystem.
The Problem CryptoPay Solves
WordPress powers a substantial share of the world's websites and online stores, yet native cryptocurrency payment support has remained absent from the platform's core commerce layer. Merchants who want to accept crypto are typically pushed toward custodial processors that hold funds on their behalf, impose platform fees, require KYC documentation, or support only a narrow range of networks. CryptoPay is built to remove all of those intermediaries. Payments travel directly from a buyer's wallet to a merchant's wallet at the moment a transaction is confirmed on chain — no platform touches the funds in between.
Core Mechanism
CryptoPay operates as a peer-to-peer, non-custodial gateway. When a customer reaches checkout, the plugin generates a payment request tied to the merchant's own wallet address. The customer connects their Web3 wallet, approves the transaction, and the funds land in the merchant's wallet upon on-chain confirmation. The plugin handles real-time fiat-to-crypto conversion using live exchange rate data, so merchants can price products in fiat and let the plugin calculate the equivalent crypto amount at checkout. No commission is charged by BeycanPress; only standard blockchain network fees apply.
Supported Networks and Add-Ons
Out of the box, CryptoPay supports all EVM-compatible networks, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Fantom, and others. Merchants can enable any EVM token on these chains without additional configuration.
Support for non-EVM networks is available through separate network add-ons priced at $49 each. Available add-ons cover Solana (including all SPL tokens), Bitcoin, Tron, TON, XRP Ledger, and Sui. The Solana add-on enables acceptance of SOL and any SPL token and connects to Phantom, the dominant Solana wallet, as well as other compatible wallets via WalletConnect. BeycanPress has published dedicated documentation and guides for the Solana integration, including a tutorial on running SPL token presales through WordPress using their presale plugin.
Wallet Compatibility and Mobile Support
CryptoPay supports MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, and any wallet compatible with the WalletConnect/Reown AppKit protocol. The WalletConnect integration means customers on mobile browsers — Chrome, Firefox, Safari — can connect their native wallet apps without requiring a desktop browser extension. A QR code fallback is also available for users who prefer manual transfers to a wallet address.
WordPress Plugin Integrations
Beyond WooCommerce, CryptoPay extends into a wide range of WordPress plugin ecosystems. At the time of writing, the gateway integrates with Easy Digital Downloads, Gravity Forms, WPForms, Contact Form 7, LearnDash LMS, Restrict Content Pro, Dokan multi-vendor marketplace (including a dedicated cryptocurrency withdrawal method), myCred loyalty points, and Fluent Forms. This breadth positions CryptoPay as a horizontal infrastructure layer for WordPress sites that want to introduce cryptocurrency payments across multiple flows, not just storefront checkout.
Pricing and Distribution
CryptoPay is available in two tiers. A free Lite version is distributed through the WordPress.org plugin directory and covers a limited selection of EVM networks. The premium version is available on a yearly license ($89 for one domain) or lifetime licenses ($239 for one domain; $489 for up to five domains). The plugin is also listed on the CodeCanyon marketplace. Network add-ons are sold separately at $49 each.
The Lite version carries over 100 active installations on WordPress.org and a 4.3 out of 5 rating based on published reviews.
Additional Products
Outside of CryptoPay, BeycanPress has released plugins addressing adjacent needs in the WordPress/blockchain space. These include a token presale plugin that supports ERC-20 presales on EVM chains and SPL token presales on Solana, a cryptocurrency converter library for PHP, and gateway-specific integrations for the plugins listed above. The organization maintains its open-source components on GitHub under the BeycanPress organization.
Security and Audits
No third-party security audits of CryptoPay have been publicly disclosed. Because the plugin routes payments directly between end-user wallets without taking custody of funds or storing private keys, its risk surface differs from custodial processors — the plugin cannot directly access or misappropriate merchant funds. However, merchants should apply standard WordPress security practices, keep PHP at the required 8.1-or-higher minimum, and run the plugin over HTTPS, which CryptoPay requires by default.
Team
BeycanPress has not publicly named individual team members. The studio operates as a small commercial WordPress development company and has been incorporated in Wyoming since at least 2021.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
BeycanPress's Solana footprint is specific but meaningful: it targets WordPress merchants who want to accept SOL or SPL token payments without leaving the WordPress stack. Given that WordPress underpins a large fraction of independent e-commerce, membership sites, and content platforms globally, the Solana add-on for CryptoPay serves as a practical on-ramp for everyday merchants who have no existing Web3 development capacity. The SPL token presale plugin extends this further, allowing project teams to run community token sales directly from a WordPress site without building custom smart-contract frontends.
