Artrade Marketplace
Artrade is a mobile-first NFT marketplace on Solana for low-cost digital asset creation and trading. The marketplace connects art collectors with creators via a simplified interface and supports physical artwork tokenization through RWA protocols. Artrade supports multiple transaction types and direct creator-to-collector exchanges.
Artrade
Artrade is a real-world asset (RWA) marketplace built on Solana that lets users acquire authenticated physical luxury goods — art, fine watches, fine wine, gold, and other collectibles — at below-retail prices using the platform's native $ATR token. Founded in Paris in 2021 as a French jeune entreprise innovante (JEI), Artrade positions itself at the intersection of traditional luxury markets and on-chain ownership, applying blockchain's transparency and programmability to asset classes that have historically been opaque, illiquid, and gatekept by wealth.
From BSC to Solana
Artrade launched its original token on Binance Smart Chain before executing a full migration to Solana in February 2024. The migration used a one-for-one swap ratio, and the existing PancakeSwap liquidity pool was retired in favor of a new pool on Raydium. The team chose Solana for its transaction throughput and low fees, both of which matter for a marketplace that must handle high-frequency token flows from raffles, auctions, and staking distributions. The Solana SPL token address is ATRLuHph8dxnPny4WSNW7fxkhbeivBrtWbY6BfB4xpLj.
The Marketplace and Acquisition Modes
The core of Artrade is a marketplace listing authenticated physical assets. Items are sourced exclusively from verified partners — Chrono24 certified dealers for luxury watches, Vinatis for fine wine, Gold Union for precious metals, and official brand websites for other goods. Each item carries its original invoice and certificate of authenticity.
Rather than a simple buy-now model, Artrade offers several acquisition mechanisms, all denominated in $ATR:
No-loss raffles. Stakers lock $ATR to enter draws for luxury items priced 20 to 40 percent below retail. If a participant does not win, their full $ATR stake is returned — hence "no-loss." If they win, the physical item is shipped to them fully insured. The $ATR contributed by the winning draw is then redistributed: 50 percent flows to the community treasury, 40 percent funds the staking rewards pool, and the remaining 10 percent is permanently burned, creating deflationary pressure on supply with each completed raffle.
Auctions and direct sales. Traditional bidding and fixed-price listings complement the raffle model for buyers who prefer price certainty.
Booster packs. An additional acquisition layer that bundles smaller items or entry credits.
Raffle draws use Switchboard oracle solutions for on-chain verifiable randomness, meaning outcomes cannot be manipulated by Artrade or any other party.
The REAL Protocol and Fragments
Artrade developed a tokenization standard called the REAL Protocol (Reliable Electronic Artwork Ledger). Under REAL, each physical artwork is paired with a unique NFC chip. The chip creates an unforgeable digital twin on the Solana blockchain, establishing a tamper-evident provenance record that links the physical object to its on-chain representation. Every subsequent owner can verify the work's authenticity by scanning the chip, creating a hardware-anchored chain of custody that persists through resale.
The Fragments feature extends this concept to fractional ownership. Instead of requiring an investor to purchase an entire physical masterpiece, Artrade tokenizes the asset and issues divisible on-chain fragments representing proportional ownership stakes. Each fragment is tradable on secondary markets like any standard Solana token, giving an otherwise illiquid asset continuous price discovery and instant liquidity.
Artrade launched Fragments publicly in May 2024 at the Non Fungible Conference in Lisbon, using a Pablo Picasso drawing valued at $200,000 as the inaugural asset. The platform has stated ambitions to expand into works by Monet, Warhol, and Banksy. Governance over which artworks are selected for tokenization rests with the $ATR community through a DAO voting mechanism; approved works are listed exclusively in $ATR on the marketplace, channeling revenue back to token holders.
If a Fragment-tokenized artwork is eventually resold, holders receive a buyback option that converts their fragment tokens to USDC stablecoins at the prevailing valuation.
Token and Tokenomics
$ATR has a maximum supply of 1.265 billion tokens, with approximately 1.26 billion in circulation as of mid-2026 — roughly 99.6 percent of total supply. The near-full float means minimal remaining inflation risk from vesting unlocks.
Deflationary mechanics come from the 10 percent burn applied to every winning raffle transaction. As marketplace volume grows, this burn rate removes ATR permanently from circulation.
$ATR is listed on centralized exchanges including MEXC, Gate.io, and Bitpanda, alongside decentralized pools on Raydium and Jupiter on Solana. As of August 2026, market capitalization sits at approximately $700,000. The token's all-time high market capitalization was reported at $140 million, reached during the 2024 exchange listing momentum.
Staking
Artrade offers a tiered staking program. At launch on Solana, the platform offered 25 percent APY to draw holders into the new chain ecosystem. Documented tiers include a "Supporters" level requiring a minimum of 25,000 ATR, which earns 15 percent APY and a 10 percent discount on marketplace acquisitions. Staking is the gateway to raffle participation — staked ATR is what gives users access to the below-retail acquisition mechanics. The platform reported 867 total stakers since the Solana migration began.
Team and Background
Artrade was founded by Paul Weibel, who has positioned the project around democratizing access to blue-chip art investment. The CTO, Frédéric, was previously the founder of Bluediamonds, an earlier Solana NFT marketplace, bringing direct Solana ecosystem experience to the team. The product design and development role is held by David, formerly the founder of Ublo/Malleab. The Paris-based team operates within the French startup ecosystem under JEI classification, which is granted to young R&D-intensive companies under French innovation policy.
Security and Audit Status
CoinMarketCap lists a CertiK security rating of 4.1 out of 10 for the project, which is a relatively low score and represents a material risk disclosure for prospective participants. The platform uses smart contracts for its core raffle and distribution mechanics, and relies on Switchboard for tamper-resistant randomness in draws. Independent comprehensive audit reports from major firms have not been prominently published. Prospective participants should factor the CertiK score into their assessment of smart contract risk.
Artrade sources physical items from certified partners with authentication documentation, mitigating counterparty risk on the physical custody side, though custody itself is managed off-chain.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Artrade occupies a narrow but coherent niche within the Solana ecosystem. The platform brings together RWA tokenization, NFC-anchored physical provenance, and DeFi-style staking mechanics in a single product, with physical luxury goods as the underlying asset class. Its Fragments product is a direct play on the RWA narrative that has gathered momentum on Solana alongside projects tokenizing real estate, treasuries, and other off-chain assets. The use of Raydium and Jupiter for on-chain liquidity ties Artrade into the existing Solana DeFi stack rather than requiring users to exit to isolated infrastructure.
The project's French origin and Paris base connect it to the European art market, while its Solana-native infrastructure makes it accessible to the crypto-native audience. The platform's approximately 4,000 monthly users and active community of stakers reflect a functioning niche product rather than a dormant protocol.
