Streamflow Foundation Burns 699.99M STREAM, Cutting Token Supply 70% to 300M

The Streamflow Foundation burned 699.99 million STREAM tokens on September 23, 2026, cutting the token's total supply from 1 billion to 300 million in a single on-chain transaction. ... The Streamflow STREAM token burn, announced by the Foundation at 15:19 UTC, destroyed every token the Foundation held, which it says equalled 70% of total supply.

About

Streamflow

Streamflow is a token distribution platform built for Solana that replaces manual treasury operations — spreadsheets, custom scripts, and one-off bulk transfers — with programmable, audited smart contracts that execute automatically on-chain.

The Problem

Token distribution in Web3 has historically been operationally fragile. Teams manage vesting schedules for investors and contributors through off-chain records, execute airdrops with custom scripts prone to errors, and run payroll through ad hoc wallet transactions. Each step introduces risk: human error, opaque records, and no verifiable audit trail. As projects scale to thousands or millions of recipients, these manual processes break down entirely.

Streamflow was founded in 2021 to address this gap — creating a purpose-built distribution layer where the rules of a token release are encoded once and then execute automatically, with every action permanently recorded on-chain.

How It Works

At its core, Streamflow deploys on-chain contracts that encode the terms of a token distribution: who receives tokens, how much, when, and under what unlock conditions. Once configured through the Streamflow interface, these contracts execute without further human intervention. Recipients can claim their allocations directly, and all activity — locks, vesting progress, airdrop claims — is publicly visible on-chain.

The platform handles the full token lifecycle from a single interface. A project can mint a token, lock the team's allocation under a vesting schedule with a cliff, distribute community tokens via a claim-based airdrop, and set up contributor payroll — all without writing custom code or maintaining separate infrastructure.

Integrations are available at multiple levels: a web application at app.streamflow.finance for non-technical users, a JavaScript SDK available as an NPM package, and a Rust SDK for projects that want to embed Streamflow logic directly inside their own Solana programs.

Product Suite

Streamflow's feature set covers every major distribution use case:

Vesting — Customizable release schedules with configurable cliff periods, used by teams, investor allocations, and advisor grants. Streamflow is listed in the official Solana documentation under token vesting as a recommended tool.

Token Locks — Time-locked holdings with transparent dashboards, typically used to signal commitment around liquidity pool positions or treasury reserves.

Airdrops — Large-scale community distributions with claim portals that scale from small allowlists to over a million recipients. The platform includes a Sybil Checker to identify multi-wallet control patterns and an Airdrop Checker for recipients to scan wallets for pending claims.

Staking — Configurable rewards infrastructure that projects use to incentivize long-term token holding.

Payroll / Streams — Continuous, recurring token payments to team members and contractors, replacing monthly manual transactions with streams that flow in real time.

Token Mint & Dashboard — Token creation tooling paired with a public-facing supply dashboard showing locked versus circulating supply, giving holders transparent visibility into distribution schedules.

Escrow / OTC — A peer-to-peer trading dashboard for structured token deals between parties.

Dust Collector — A Solana-specific utility that reclaims rent from empty token accounts, returning small amounts of SOL that would otherwise remain stranded.

Chain Support

Streamflow is Solana-native by architecture, with its primary program deployed at strmRqUCoQUgGUan5YhzUZa6KqdzwX5L6FpUxfmKg5m on Solana Mainnet. The platform has extended support to additional chains including Sui, Aptos, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Polygon, though Solana remains its home chain and the focus of its deepest tooling.

Security and Audits

Streamflow's smart contracts have been independently audited by two firms: FYEO, which conducted a secure code assessment of the Streamflow Finance protocol covering both Solana and EVM implementations, and OPCODES, which provided an additional Solana protocol review. The project lists security as a primary concern and directs users to the audit records in its documentation.

Traction and Ecosystem Fit

By published metrics, Streamflow has processed $365M+ in TVL, served 1.3M+ users, and been deployed by more than 40,000 projects. Notable users include BONK, UXD Protocol, and Heavenland. The platform's visibility among projects launching on Solana reflects its position as the default infrastructure layer for token distribution — the category it helped define on the network.

In December 2024, Streamflow launched its own governance token, STREAM, which trades on Bybit, MEXC, and Gate. As of mid-2026, the team was signaling further token utility through a forthcoming xSTREAM mechanism, described as providing holders an economic claim to the company.

Team and Funding

Streamflow was founded in 2021 by Malisa Stanojevic and operates as a fully remote team distributed across Spain, Serbia, Slovakia, and other locations. In March 2022, the project raised a $3.1M seed round led by Jump Capital, with participation from Solana Ventures, Hypersphere Ventures, GBV Capital, Amber Group, MEXC Global, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Genblock Capital, and others — bringing total disclosed funding to approximately $5M.

The investor lineup reflects early conviction from some of Solana's most prominent backers, positioning Streamflow as foundational infrastructure from its earliest stages rather than a peripheral tool.
