ProphetX and Agg Market Bring CFTC-Regulated Sports Prediction Markets to Solana
ProphetX, America's first CFTC-licensed DCM and DCO sports prediction exchange, has partnered with Agg Market to bring its NFL and NBA contracts to Solana.
Agg Market, a prediction market aggregator that launched in April 2026, announced on September 10 a tokenization layer that puts ProphetX's full sports contract catalog on Solana. For on-chain traders, it is the first access point to a CFTC-licensed exchange that holds both a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO) registration, a structure that allows ProphetX to trade, clear, and settle event contracts internally without routing through a third-party clearing house.
How Agg Market's Tokenization Layer Brings NFL and NBA Contracts to Solana
Agg Market's integration converts ProphetX's off-chain event contracts into a format that Solana applications can read, price, and route orders against. ProphetX's full catalog of NFL, NBA, and other major sports event contracts is available through the integration from day one, with no phased rollout. Traders can reach those markets through Agg's own products or through the broader Agg Liquidity API.
The settlement layer remains off-chain: ProphetX's contract terms, execution, and clearing are unchanged. The tokenization layer sits on top, making market data and order routing available to Solana applications without altering the regulatory structure underneath.
Solana was selected for its capacity to handle high-throughput market activity, according to the official announcement. The integration makes ProphetX markets accessible at Agg.Market, with developer documentation at docs.agg.market.
What ProphetX's Dual DCM and DCO Licenses Mean for Traders
ProphetX was originally launched as Prophet Exchange, a peer-to-peer sports event trading marketplace. The CFTC granted it both DCM and DCO registration on June 11, 2026, following applications submitted in November 2025. The platform launched nationwide on June 18, 2026.
Most federally registered prediction market platforms hold only a DCM license, which permits them to list event contracts. The DCO registration is the additional piece: it allows ProphetX to clear and settle trades directly rather than relying on a separate clearing entity. That vertical integration (trade, clear, and settle under one roof) is the basis for ProphetX's description of itself as a direct-clearing exchange, and it is what CEO Dean Sisun cited when the company obtained CFTC approval, per the company's announcement.
The platform's peer-to-peer model means participants trade against each other, not against a house. ProphetX has stated it will not operate an affiliated trading arm that takes positions against users, a policy that distinguishes it from several established betting exchanges. A proprietary Request for Quote (RFQ) Parlay Mechanism allows users to construct and price multi-event combinations directly with counterparties, mirroring the institutional trading protocols used in traditional financial markets. The fee model is minimal by design: because there is no house edge embedded in odds, the spread between participants is the effective trading cost.
Developer Access, the Agg Tokenization API, and the Solana Grants Program
Builders integrating ProphetX markets can do so through the Agg Tokenization Layer API, documented at docs.agg.market/recipes/tokenized-offchain-predictions. The API allows applications to query live markets, retrieve pricing data, and route orders through Agg's infrastructure, accessible as a standalone Agg product or as part of the broader liquidity API for larger integrations.
Alongside the announcement, ProphetX and Agg Market launched a Solana Builder Grants Program aimed at funding new decentralized applications built on ProphetX markets via Agg. Further details on the grants program were not released at launch.
CFTC Proposed Rules and State-Level Pushback on Sports Prediction Markets
The ProphetX-Agg Market integration arrives during a period of active federal rulemaking for sports prediction markets. In January 2026, the CFTC withdrew a proposed rule that would have banned political and sports-related event contracts. The agency then published a separate set of proposed rules in June 2026 that would restrict specific high-risk contract types, including player injury outcomes, referee decisions, youth sports events, and in-game props, from federally registered platforms, according to ESPN's reporting on the proposals. In August 2026, the CFTC warned platforms against marketing their products using American-style casino odds formats, describing the practice as deceptive, per Bloomberg.
A parallel legal dispute continues between federal exchanges and state gaming regulators. Several states argue that sports event contracts are effectively sports betting products that belong under state jurisdiction, and federal appellate courts have returned split decisions on whether state gaming boards can act against federally registered prediction market platforms.
The Agg Market integration does not change ProphetX's regulatory position. The tokenization layer is a routing mechanism, not a separate exchange. ProphetX's contract terms and settlement remain under the same CFTC framework that governs its off-chain operations. Kalshi, which also holds CFTC DCM registration and announced tokenized prediction market access on Solana in partnership with DFlow at Breakpoint 2025, is the most comparable platform operating in the regulated prediction market space.
