Xcombinator Launchpad
Platform for launching curated AI-focused projects and tokens on Solana.
xApple bot
xApple Bot implements Telegram-based token launch through Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve architecture, enabling token creation and liquidity pool management. The system provides streamlined launch processes while maintaining Solana network compatibility.
Xcombinator
What Was Xcombinator
Xcombinator (handle: @xcombhq) was a curated AI token launchpad built on Solana, active from late 2021 through early 2025. It positioned itself as a selective platform for launching AI-powered projects and agents, differentiating from general-purpose launchpads by focusing exclusively on AI-driven tokens and agent deployments. The platform described itself as "the first real-time full-scale platform that redefines how AI-powered projects are launched and scaled" on Solana.
At its peak, the platform was accepted into the BuildWithMonkeDAO Grants Program and cited backing from the Solana Foundation, Metaplex, and MonkeDAO. Xcombinator also won the AI Launchpad category at a Solana AI hackathon organized by the sendaifun developer community, and featured special rewards for top hackathon projects as part of its launch pipeline.
How It Worked
Xcombinator organized project launches across three tiers visible on its interface: curated, degen, and graduated. Curated launches were vetted AI projects; degen represented higher-risk experimental token launches; graduated indicated projects that had cleared initial bonding milestones.
Token launches on the platform were powered entirely by Meteora's dynamic liquidity pools, with full M3M3 staking support integrated. M3M3 is Meteora's mechanism allowing holders of launched tokens to stake them and earn a proportional share of trading fees generated by the pool. Xcombinator charged a flat 0.3 SOL per agent launch fee, which served to screen out low-effort or non-serious project submissions and maintain a minimum quality floor.
The platform also offered an AI Agents feature: context-aware tools designed to aggregate on-chain and off-chain data and surface high-value insights for investors and creators. These agents were a differentiation point from simple token launchpads, framing Xcombinator as an AI-infrastructure play rather than a pure token issuance service.
A buyback-and-lock system was built into the economics of launches. Unsold tokens and a portion of migration fees were pooled into Meteora liquidity positions to provide a liquidity backstop for newly launched projects, intended to support price stability in the critical post-launch period.
The $X Token Experiment
In December 2024, the Xcombinator team launched $X — not as a utility token for the platform, but explicitly as an experimental investment DAO token. The launch allocated 14 SOL worth of positions to Doge Capital holders, including the team itself, which did not sell any allocation. The stated goal was to build a community-funded investment DAO that would co-invest in AI launchpad projects.
The experiment did not sustain community engagement. In a public post, the team announced the shutdown of $X: "launched $X in December 2024 as a fun experiment... the goal was simple - investment DAO people had higher expectations and the price [declined]. the hype died and most left." The announcement noted that Xcombinator would continue operating on Solana without a token.
Token holders were offered the option to burn their $X by February 14 in exchange for a loyalty NFT, described as a representation of long-term alignment with the platform and a potential future benefit from successful experiments.
Current Status: Defunct
As of August 2026, Xcombinator is no longer operational. The primary domain xcombinator.app is NXDOMAIN — the domain does not resolve and returns a DNS lookup failure, indicating it was either allowed to lapse or intentionally taken down. The legacy Vercel deployment at xcombinator.vercel.app is reachable but displays an empty state: "No Tokens Found" and "Failed to fetch global data," confirming no active backend infrastructure remains.
The @xcombhq Twitter/X account has produced no posts in at least the past 72 hours, and the most recent identifiable public communication was the announcement of the $X token shutdown. The Discord server listed in the project's source map (discord.com/invite/VUWenXBr7B) may still exist but no content from it is independently verifiable.
Despite early institutional backing, hackathon recognition, and meaningful integration with Meteora's liquidity infrastructure, Xcombinator did not survive into the 2025-2026 period of Solana's AI agent boom. Its curated, high-friction, fee-gated approach to launches may have made it difficult to achieve the volume of project flow needed to sustain the platform against better-resourced competitors. The $X investment DAO token shutdown was the final significant public action by the team before the platform went dark.
Summary
Xcombinator was a real but short-lived entrant in the Solana AI launchpad space. It built genuine ecosystem credentials — MonkeDAO grants program acceptance, a Solana AI hackathon win, and a working Meteora liquidity integration — before attempting a community token experiment that failed to hold interest. The platform and its domain are now offline, with no evidence of active development, social presence, or operational infrastructure remaining.
