On-chain activity
Universal Accounts
Universal Accounts provide users with a single account and unified balance across all blockchain networks through chain abstraction technology. The system enables cross-chain transactions without bridging while maintaining security through coordinated smart contract deployments.
UniversalX
UniversalX is a cross-chain trading platform that enables users to buy and sell any token on any chain without bridging. The system routes orders across multiple chains and DEX venues while maintaining MEV protection and optimal price execution.
Particle Auth
Particle Auth provides social login infrastructure for Web3 applications, enabling one-click user onboarding through popular platforms like Google and Twitter. The system generates smart accounts while maintaining familiar Web2 authentication flows.
Particle Network
Particle Network is a Layer-1 blockchain and developer infrastructure platform built to solve the user experience problem created by a fragmented multi-chain ecosystem. Its central thesis, captured in the tagline "One Account, One Balance, Any Chain," is that users and applications should be able to interact with any blockchain without managing separate wallets, bridging assets, or holding multiple native gas tokens. The project calls this approach chain abstraction.
Origins and Evolution
Particle Network launched in 2022 as a wallet abstraction provider, offering social login SDKs that let developers onboard users with email addresses, Google accounts, or other Web2 credentials instead of seed phrases. The underlying wallet security relied on MPC-TSS (Multi-Party Computation with Threshold Signature Schemes), which distributes key management so no single party holds a complete private key.
From there, Particle expanded into ERC-4337 Account Abstraction infrastructure. ERC-4337 is an Ethereum standard that enables smart contract wallets with features such as transaction batching, sponsored gas fees, and session keys. Particle became one of the largest providers of this infrastructure, deploying across 70-plus chains and accumulating roughly 20 million cumulative UserOperations (on-chain smart account transactions). The platform passed 30 million wallet activations and 7,000 dApp integrations. At its peak, the AA infrastructure secured more than $2 billion in assets.
The L1 and Chain Abstraction
To take chain abstraction from a developer library to a trustless coordination layer, Particle Network launched its own Layer-1 blockchain. The chain is built with the Cosmos SDK and includes a high-performance EVM execution environment. Data availability is aggregated from multiple providers — including Celestia, Avail, and NEAR DA — to avoid single points of failure. The network uses a dual staking model for validator security.
The L1 exists to coordinate three core primitives that sit on top of it:
Universal Accounts give users a single address and a unified balance that works across all supported EVM-compatible chains as well as Solana. Instead of holding separate ETH on Ethereum, AVAX on Avalanche, and SOL on Solana, a user holding assets on any of those chains can spend from a single logical account. The account owner does not need to bridge first; the Universal Account infrastructure handles cross-chain settlement transparently. With the EIP-7702 integration added in early 2026, any existing externally-owned Ethereum wallet can be upgraded to a Universal Account instantly, without creating a new address or migrating assets.
Universal Liquidity is the cross-chain liquidity routing layer that makes Universal Account transactions executable. When a user's balance on one chain needs to fund a transaction on another, Universal Liquidity sources and routes that liquidity automatically.
Universal Gas allows users to pay transaction fees on any chain using any supported token — including stablecoins such as USDT and USDC — regardless of which chain they are transacting on. The gas is settled to the network's native token, PARTI, on the Particle L1.
Developer Products
Particle offers several products built on these primitives:
Universal SDK, launched in mid-2025, is the primary integration path for developers. It lets teams add cross-chain Universal Account support to a new or existing application in under 30 lines of code, without building custom bridging infrastructure.
UniversalX is the first chain-agnostic trading application built natively on Universal Accounts. Positioned as a decentralized alternative to centralized exchanges, it lets users trade tokens across chains from a single interface without pre-bridging. A V2 with real-time token discovery and portfolio tracking launched in 2025.
BTC Connect extends chain abstraction to Bitcoin by enabling native Bitcoin wallets — such as UniSat — to act as signers for smart contract accounts on Bitcoin Layer-2 networks. This brings ERC-4337 style features to Bitcoin users without requiring them to adopt a new wallet.
AI Agent API, announced in mid-2026, provides a programmatic interface for autonomous AI agents to create and manage Universal Accounts across chains. This allows software agents to hold and move assets without human intervention at each transaction step.
In August 2025, Particle partnered with Circle Gateway to position the Universal Account infrastructure as a settlement layer for real-world assets and stablecoins, broadening the use case beyond retail DeFi.
Adoption
Universal Accounts reached 110,900 users in Q1 2025, a 558% increase quarter-over-quarter. The Particle Network developer community spans Slack, GitHub, and Discord, with a growing hackathon ecosystem including the UXmaxx Hackathon in mid-2026.
The PARTI Token
PARTI is the native token of the Particle Network L1. It has a fixed total supply of 1 billion tokens. Its functions include paying for gas across the Universal Gas system, staking to secure the network via the validator set, acting as an intermediary exchange token within the Universal Liquidity routing layer, and providing governance rights over the network. A public airdrop distributed tokens to early users of the platform's wallet and AA products. As of mid-2026, roughly 230 million tokens were in circulation.
Particle Network occupies an infrastructure position in the Solana and broader multi-chain ecosystem: it does not compete with application-layer DeFi protocols but instead provides the account and liquidity coordination layer that makes cross-chain applications possible for end users who lack the technical background to manage assets manually across chains.
