About

NFTScan

NFTScan is a multi-chain NFT data infrastructure platform that indexes complete NFT data across more than 20 blockchains and delivers it through an explorer, a portfolio dashboard, and a professional API suite serving over 1,000 Web3 projects.

What NFTScan Does

Founded in April 2021, NFTScan set out to solve a core bottleneck for NFT developers and analysts: reliably aggregating NFT asset data, transaction histories, and collection metrics across an increasingly fragmented blockchain landscape. Rather than forcing developers to write chain-specific indexing code for each network they target, NFTScan normalizes NFT data behind a unified API layer, significantly reducing integration complexity.

The platform's stated mission is to serve as the definitive data infrastructure layer for the NFT ecosystem — purpose-built for non-fungible tokens, and designed to span many chains under a single consistent interface.

Core Products

NFTScan Explorer

The NFTScan Explorer is the platform's public-facing data browsing tool, available as a unified multi-chain interface and as dedicated chain-specific explorers — including solana.nftscan.com for Solana NFT activity. It provides real-time transaction feeds, collection dashboards, minting activity, and wallet-level NFT inventories. The explorer currently supports 20 blockchain networks.

NFT Portfolio

The Portfolio product is aimed at NFT collectors and fund managers holding assets across multiple chains. It aggregates a user's holdings from supported networks into a single dashboard, tracking floor price exposure, historical performance, and marketplace activity across collections.

NFTScan Developer Platform

The developer platform is the commercial center of the business. It exposes 60+ API endpoints across five primary data categories: NFT Assets, NFT Contracts, NFT Transfers, Wallet Addresses, and Marketplace data. The API is available for all 20+ supported chains, including dedicated EVM endpoints, a Solana API, and coverage for non-EVM networks including Aptos, Bitcoin, and TON.

NFTScan also provides a JavaScript SDK for faster integration, a Notify API for webhook-based event subscriptions, and a Marketplace API for tracking pending orders and trading activity across platforms such as OpenSea, Blur, and LooksRare.

Solana Integration

NFTScan added Solana support to both its public Explorer and its Developer Platform, making it one of the few infrastructure providers covering both EVM and Solana NFT data under the same API contract. The Solana API provides collection-level data, wallet-level asset inventories, transaction histories, and marketplace analytics for Solana NFT activity. Developers building NFT applications on Solana can query the same standardized endpoint structure used for EVM chains, reducing the engineering overhead of handling Solana's distinct account model.

Scale and Adoption

As of late 2023, NFTScan's database contained 3.15 million indexed NFT collections, 1.36 billion NFT assets, and 5.26 billion on-chain NFT records. The developer platform has processed more than 7.8 billion API calls and counts over 10,000 developers as registered users.

The platform serves more than 1,000 Web3 projects, ranging from centralized exchanges operating NFT marketplaces (Binance NFT, Bybit, KuCoin) to wallet applications (imToken, SafePal), analytics platforms (CoinMarketCap), and consumer NFT products (STEPN, Enjin, Mask).

Pricing Model

NFTScan uses a Compute Unit (CU) pricing model rather than flat subscription tiers. Each API call consumes a defined number of CUs based on the complexity of the data returned. The standard rate is 1 USDT per one million compute units, with a minimum purchase of $199. Unused CUs do not expire. Enterprise customers with high-volume requirements or need for custom endpoint logic can contact NFTScan's team directly for dedicated support.

Technical Scope

Beyond standard REST endpoints, NFTScan provides a Stream API for real-time NFT event streaming, a Marketplace API tracking pending orders and sales data from major NFT marketplaces, and an ERC404 Explorer supporting the hybrid fungible/non-fungible token standard on Ethereum. An NFTScan Site product aimed at NFT project founders is also listed as in development.

The multi-chain scope distinguishes NFTScan from single-chain NFT data providers. By maintaining full historical data and supporting both EVM and non-EVM networks from the same API surface, the platform targets teams building cross-chain applications or analytics tools that span the broader NFT market.

Status

NFTScan is actively maintained and commercially operational. The developer platform is live at developer.nftscan.com, the explorer at nftscan.com and chain-specific subdomains, and documentation at docs.nftscan.com.
