Moonly

Moonly is an NFT analytics and drop discovery platform operating at moon.ly. It was built to solve a concrete problem for NFT investors: the information needed to evaluate a project before minting is spread across Discord servers, Twitter threads, marketplace listings, and third-party data aggregators. Moonly consolidates that research into one interface, surfacing market data, social metrics, and project scoring in a format designed to cut the time required before committing to a mint or purchase.

Background and Founding

The project was founded by Stefan Smiljkovic, who also develops Automatio — a no-code web scraping and automation platform. Automatio served as Moonly's financial backer during pre-mint development, providing the technical infrastructure and early funding the project needed before it minted its own NFT collection. Moonly went live in prototype form in January 2022, initially as a Solana-focused upcoming NFT aggregator. It launched its native NFT collection on the Magic Eden launchpad on May 26, 2022, which gates access to premium features for holders.

The project rebuilt its codebase from scratch using a JavaScript stack early in its development cycle, expanding the feature set significantly before opening the platform to its current multi-chain configuration.

Core Mechanism: Multi-Factor Project Scoring

At the center of Moonly's analytics approach is a scoring model that evaluates NFT projects across more than 18 distinct criteria. These include social statistics such as Twitter follower growth and Discord membership size, engagement quality with bot-detection to filter inflated metrics, founder verification status (whether founders are publicly identified), roadmap completeness, community sentiment, floor price trajectory, and trading volume trends.

The platform operates specialized bots that continuously extract project data from on-chain sources and social platforms. This raw data is processed and rendered into charts and graphs before being surfaced to users. The aim is to surface projects with genuine community traction and legitimate fundamentals before they become widely recognized — giving investors an analytical edge in identifying potential standout collections at or near mint price, rather than after secondary-market premiums have set in.

Key Products and Features

NFT Drop Discovery and Tracking

Moonly's primary product is a structured upcoming NFT drop calendar with dedicated pages for Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, Near, and Aptos. Users can browse project pages with detailed metadata, filter by chain, set mint reminders, and add projects to a personal watchlist. A live feed surfaces recent sales and new listings in real time, giving investors a running view of where market activity is concentrated.

Market Analytics Dashboard

The analytics dashboard covers floor price monitoring, listed-count data, 24-hour and 7-day volume changes, and an overview of top movers across both gainers and losers. Users can track individual collections or survey the broader market. A holdings tracker enables portfolio-level monitoring across wallets, allowing investors to view their NFT positions aggregated in one place.

Social Stats Auditing

One of Moonly's differentiating features is its social audit tooling, which examines the Twitter and Discord engagement of NFT projects for signs of artificial inflation. By validating follower counts, growth rate authenticity, and Discord activity against baseline benchmarks, the platform helps investors separate genuine community momentum from manufactured hype — a persistent problem in NFT markets.

Holder Verification Bot

Moonly developed a Holder Verification Bot (HVB) for NFT project Discord communities. Version 2 of the bot shipped with expanded capabilities and an improved interface. The bot verifies NFT ownership on-chain and assigns Discord roles accordingly, enabling project teams to provide gated access to holder-only channels or exclusive benefits. Moonly packages the HVB as a service available to other NFT projects, extending this infrastructure beyond its own collection.

Staking as a Service

Staking as a Service (V2) is one of Moonly's white-label infrastructure products. It enables other NFT collections to deploy staking functionality for their holders without building the contracts or frontend from scratch. Moonly NFT holders also have access to their own staking pool on the platform, earning rewards for locking their collection NFTs.

Additional Tools

The platform includes a raffle system, a sniper tool that was in staging development, and a submission portal through which project teams can list their upcoming drops for community visibility. A "Get Verified" program is available for established collections seeking a credibility marker on the platform. The blog provides both platform update announcements and broader market analysis, including coverage of Solana developments, Ethereum trends, and Web3 infrastructure changes.

Business Model and Access Tiers

Moonly operates on a freemium model. Core discovery and analytics tools are available at no cost to all visitors. Advanced premium features are gated to holders of the Moonly NFT collection, which was deployed on Solana via Magic Eden. This model ties premium access directly to the native NFT, creating a holding incentive while keeping the platform broadly accessible for first-time visitors researching upcoming projects.

The Moonly NFT collection trades on Solana secondary markets, and holders receive access to new premium features as the platform develops them.

Multi-Chain Positioning

Moonly launched with an exclusive focus on Solana — tracking upcoming mints on Magic Eden and monitoring Solana collection floor prices and volume. As the platform matured, it expanded to cover Ethereum, Polygon, Near, and Aptos NFT drops. Solana remains a core supported chain with dedicated discovery pages and deep market data integration, reflecting the project's origins as a Solana-native tool. The Moonly NFT itself is a Solana-native collection, keeping the project anchored in the Solana ecosystem even as its data coverage expanded.

How It Fits Solana

Moonly launched during the 2022 Solana NFT boom and built its initial user base around Solana mint discovery and analytics. The platform's infrastructure — holder verification bots, staking contracts, and the Moonly NFT itself — are deployed on Solana. As Solana's NFT landscape has shifted through the emergence of compressed NFTs, marketplace consolidation around Tensor, and changes to royalty standards, Moonly's project-level intelligence layer has remained relevant for investors seeking structured research tools rather than raw marketplace data. Its Staking as a Service and Holder Verification Bot products also serve Solana-native NFT collections looking for ready-made community management and holder-reward infrastructure without requiring in-house contract development.
