Moongate

Moongate is a Web3 event infrastructure and attention asset protocol that converts real-world consumer engagement into on-chain value. Fans or ticket buyers claim their smart tokens through a simplified front-end that abstracts away wallet complexity.

Notable clients have included Binance, OKX, Sony, TOKEN2049, Binance Blockchain Week, ETHDenver, Animoca Brands, Wonderfruit, and ComplexCon. Moongate has operated campaigns in more than 20 countries.

Solana Integration: The MoonGate Adapter

One of Moongate's most technically distinctive contributions is the MoonGate Adapter — a developer SDK purpose-built for the Solana ecosystem. The core problem it solves: Solana dApps traditionally required users to set up a Solana-native wallet with its own seed phrase, creating friction for the large population of Ethereum wallet users and Web2 newcomers.

The MoonGate Adapter resolves this by acting as an authentication bridge. Developers integrate it into React or Next.js applications with a few lines of code, unlocking login via Ethereum wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect), Apple ID, Google account, or X (formerly Twitter). Under the hood, Moongate automatically generates a compatible Solana wallet for the user tied to their chosen identity provider. No separate Solana wallet is needed; no seed phrase is exposed.

The companion MoonGate Wallet is an injectable wallet adapter that slots into the standard Solana Wallet Adapter interface, making it a drop-in addition to any dApp already using the ecosystem's conventional wallet-selection UI. MGT Token

Moongate's native token, MGT, launched on November 28, 2024, with a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens.

Token allocation:

The public sale structure provided 20% unlocked at the Token Generation Event, with the remaining 80% distributed linearly over eight months. MGT functions as the ecosystem's reward currency for users completing brand quests, enables staking for governance participation and protocol incentives, and provides brands with access to premium campaign tooling on the platform.

Moongate was founded in Hong Kong by Jonathan Mui and Peter Hui in 2022. The two built the platform from an event-focused consumer engagement use case, scaling it into a multi-chain smart token infrastructure serving enterprise-grade clients across entertainment, finance, and Web3 communities.

Audits and Security

Moongate has not publicly disclosed smart contract audit reports in primary documentation reviewed. Given the platform's multi-chain token issuance capabilities and the custody implications of the MoonGate Wallet's automated key generation, prospective users and brand partners should request audit documentation directly from the team before deploying high-value campaigns or integrating the wallet SDK into production applications.

Acquisition by Humanity Protocol

In June 2025, Humanity Protocol — a proof-of-personhood network using palm-based biometric verification — announced the acquisition of Moongate. Humanity Protocol sought to expand beyond on-chain identity verification into real-world adoption, and Moongate's event infrastructure and loyalty technology provided a ready-made distribution channel.

Post-acquisition, Moongate continues to operate as Moongate by Humanity Protocol, accessible through the humanity.org ecosystem. The integration roadmap includes layering Humanity Protocol's biometric verification onto Moongate's ticketing flow, so event attendees can simultaneously prove ticket ownership and verify their uniqueness as a human identity on-chain — a combination that bridges access control with decentralized identity primitives like verifiable credentials and zero-knowledge proofs.

Planned applications extend beyond conferences into decentralized season passes, gated communities, and loyalty ecosystems anchored to verified human identity rather than anonymous wallet addresses.

Fit Within Solana

Moongate's relationship with Solana is primarily infrastructural: the platform removes the onboarding friction that has historically limited Solana dApp growth among non-crypto-native users. By enabling social login authentication that automatically provisions Solana wallets, Moongate functions as a user-acquisition layer for the broader ecosystem. Brands that want to run loyalty campaigns or issue event tickets on Solana can do so through Moongate's no-code interface, bringing their existing audiences on-chain without requiring those audiences to navigate wallet setup independently.
