Alchemy Pay
Alchemy Pay is a regulated payment technology company that connects traditional fiat currency infrastructure to crypto networks. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Singapore, the company operates a global on-ramp and off-ramp network spanning 173 countries, more than 300 fiat payment channels, and over 50 local currencies. Integrations cover Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, regional bank transfers, and mobile wallets.
The platform's primary product is a fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat conversion layer that business partners embed into wallets, exchanges, and decentralized applications. When a user purchases cryptocurrency through an integrated platform, Alchemy Pay handles payment processing in local currency on the front end and settles the purchased asset to the destination wallet. The reverse flow lets holders convert crypto to fiat for bank deposits. Merchants integrating through Shopify plugins or direct APIs can accept crypto from customers while receiving settlement in local currency, avoiding direct price exposure. The company also issues branded virtual and physical debit cards through Visa and Mastercard partnerships, allowing crypto holders to spend digital assets at standard payment terminals.
Scale and Partner Ecosystem
Alchemy Pay describes a network of more than 1,000 ecosystem partners. Documented integrations include Ledger Live (embedded on/off-ramp), Shopify (e-commerce plugin), and crypto card programs under Visa and Mastercard licensing. By mid-2026, the on-ramp solution covered purchases in 173 countries, with users able to fund wallets using local payment methods including credit cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Alchemy Chain: SVM-Based Layer-1 for Stablecoin Payments
In October 2024, Alchemy Pay announced plans for Alchemy Chain, a Layer-1 blockchain designed for stablecoin payments and cross-border settlement. The network is built on a Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) architecture and uses a Trusted Proof-of-Authority (TPoA) consensus mechanism, targeting fast transaction finality and predictable fees. The chain connects directly to traditional banks and payment service providers to enable movement between cash, stablecoins, and other digital assets.
A public testnet launched in February 2026, processing over 800,000 transactions. The mainnet went live in May 2026. Subsequent announcements confirm that Alchemy Chain also targets EVM compatibility through a Token Management System (TMS), which gives businesses a control panel to issue and track stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets without custom smart contract development.
Alchemy Pay describes Alchemy Chain as the first payment blockchain built to align simultaneously with the European Union MiCA framework, PSD2 payment standards, and Hong Kong HKMA stablecoin regulations. The 2026 roadmap stages rollout through the rest of the year: regulatory foundations in Hong Kong first, then European payment expansion, then USD stablecoin issuance, then broader global compliance work.
The ACH token has a fixed supply of 10 billion tokens and is issued on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. On Alchemy Chain, ACH functions as the native gas token and supports validator participation. Businesses accessing the network's B2B payment tools are required to pledge ACH. The token also provides transaction fee discounts within the broader Alchemy Pay ecosystem.
US Regulatory Expansion
Alchemy Pay has pursued systematic US licensing since 2025. As of late July 2026, the company holds Money Transmitter Licenses in 19 US states, with Michigan the most recent addition. The 2026 additions include Illinois, Delaware, Rhode Island, Maine, Kansas, West Virginia, South Dakota, and Nebraska. These licenses authorize regulated fiat-to-crypto exchange and transfer within each state. The stated company goal is full US coverage before expanding the same compliance model into European and Asia-Pacific markets alongside the Alchemy Chain rollout.
Solana Relationship and AI Payment Plans
Alchemy Pay has participated in the Solana ecosystem since at least the 2022 Breakpoint conference in Lisbon, where it promoted the on-ramp solution to Solana developers and users. The SVM foundation of Alchemy Chain ties the project more directly to the Solana execution environment, though the chain operates as an independent Layer-1.
In July 2025, Alchemy Pay announced AlchemyX, a planned payment solution targeting AI agent transactions. The project aims to position the fiat-crypto rails as infrastructure for autonomous AI payments, though detailed product specifications had not been released as of the announcement date.
