Decrypt and Myriad Announce The Information Exchange on Solana Ahead of Breakpoint
Decrypt and Myriad announced The Information Exchange on Solana on 30 September 2026, pairing its news with markets and the MYR token ahead of Breakpoint.
Decrypt announced The Information Exchange on 30 September 2026, a network that puts news, market data, probabilities and trading side by side, built on Solana. In its announcement, the crypto news site says the network is "brought to you by Decrypt, powered by Myriad and the MYR token", with Decrypt supplying the reporting, Myriad supplying the market technology and MYR acting as the network's shared token. Decrypt called it "our North Star, the vision we are building towards."
The network itself is not live yet. Decrypt's announcement says to "expect a staggered product rollout over the coming weeks, leading into Solana Breakpoint", which runs 15 to 17 November in London. Myriad is still listing new markets on its existing prediction market app, but the announcement does not say those markets have moved to Solana; bringing Myriad's products onto Solana is part of that rollout. Decrypt also gives no launch date, supply or mint address for MYR, so no token trading today has been identified by Decrypt or Myriad as MYR.
Decrypt and Myriad sit under DASTAN, the company that owns and operates both and is run by co-founders Farokh Sarmad (president), Loxley Fernandes (CEO) and Ilan Hazan (COO). In his own post on 30 September, Sarmad wrote that the group built "one of the largest crypto-native media networks" with Decrypt and Rug Radio, that Myriad did "$600M+ in prediction market volume", and that "now it all comes together on @Solana."
What The Information Exchange combines: Decrypt news, Myriad markets and AMOS
The Information Exchange puts the ability to trade next to the story that prompted the trade. Decrypt's argument is that readers learn about an asset in an article, then leave for an exchange, and "the financial value created by that attention accrued to another platform." Its answer is to keep the reader, the context and the trade in one place, organised by subject.
Decrypt brings the audience. After folding Rug Radio into Decrypt, the combined outlet reaches about 1.6 million monthly unique users and 3.7 million monthly page views, with more than 73,000 active newsletter subscribers, according to the announcement. Myriad brings the proof of concept: more than $600 million in prediction market volume, a figure Decrypt and Sarmad both cite.
The planned product list goes well past prediction markets. Decrypt names spot markets, perpetual futures, structured event products and "new financial instruments", and says Myriad will run some of this on its own market infrastructure while integrating products from third-party protocols and exchanges. Sarmad gave the reader's-eye version in a later post: "You're reading an article about Saylor buying $BTC and next thing you know you are trading the coin on Decrypt via [REDACTED] and predicting how much he will buy the week after on Decrypt as well with Myriad." The redaction is his; the spot trading partner has not been named.
Behind the editorial side, Decrypt describes AMOS, an in-house "agentic media operating system" meant to spot emerging subjects, organise data, help produce content and attach relevant markets to each subject. Screens in the announcement show products labelled Decrypt Predict and an AI Situation Room, without dates for either.
How the MYR token is designed to work
Decrypt describes MYR as "the shared economic coordination layer" of The Information Exchange and gives the token four jobs:
- Staking by participants who handle information verification and market resolution.
- Staking by applications, trading systems, data buyers and AI agents for access to higher API throughput, low-latency market data, probability feeds and programmatic market creation.
- Reduced transaction costs, better data access and premium products for holders and stakers.
- A share of network revenue directed to buying MYR on the open market and burning it, alongside staking incentives, rewards, treasury and ecosystem funding.
That is a design, and the numbers that would make it concrete are missing: no supply, allocation, launch date or revenue split has been published. Sarmad's post said "we are talking about the token as well," but the announcement leaves those details out.
Myriad's multi-chain history and the move to Solana
Myriad has already lived on several networks. Decrypt's March 2026 report on Myriad's seed round placed its Season 3 on BNB Chain, and the new announcement says Myriad was "deployed across several ecosystems", tried both automated market makers and order books, and built its own wallet. Decrypt is candid that "not every strategy worked as intended" and that at times it "optimized for becoming a conventional prediction market venue instead of concentrating on the larger relationship between information and participation."
The stated reason for Solana is fit with that larger idea. "Solana gives Decrypt the speed, low costs and expanding financial ecosystem needed to embed participation directly into the information experience," the announcement reads. Putting a trade inside an article only works if the trade settles quickly and costs the reader very little.
The more interesting question is how a newsroom separates reporting on a subject from running markets about it. The announcement does not describe how Decrypt's editorial and market operations will be kept apart.
Prediction markets on Solana ahead of Breakpoint 2026
Myriad enters a crowded, contested category. On Solana, Kalshi expanded to the network at Breakpoint 2025 and DFlow launched a tokenized prediction markets API at the same event. Elsewhere, the category is under legal pressure and still drawing capital: New York has sued Polymarket as an illegal gambling operation, the Sixth Circuit appeals court ruled that Ohio and Tennessee can regulate Kalshi's sports contracts, and prediction market maker Raven raised a round co-led by Coinbase Ventures on the same day as Decrypt's announcement.
Decrypt's pitch is distribution: a news audience that already reads about the events these markets price. Over the coming weeks it has to show which products arrive first, when Myriad's markets run on Solana, and what MYR actually looks like before Breakpoint opens on 15 November.
