Circle's USDC Bridge Adds Solana, Linking It to 18 Other Chains
Circle's USDC Bridge at bridge.usdc.com now supports Solana, letting users move native USDC between Solana and 18 other chains through Circle's own interface.
Circle USDC$0.999+0.1% has added Solana SOL$99.99-1.5% to USDC Bridge, the company's own website for moving USDC between blockchains. Circle's USDC account announced the change on X on 6 October 2026, and the live bridge at bridge.usdc.com now lists Solana with a "New" tag among 19 supported chains.
The post says users can move USDC directly between Solana and 18 other supported ecosystems, and describes the bridge as built by Circle. The page itself carries a banner reading "USDC Bridge now supports Solana."
What Circle's USDC Bridge does, and where Solana fits
USDC Bridge is a Circle-run front end for the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), Circle's system for sending USDC across chains. It launched on 17 April 2026, The Block reported. CCTP burns USDC on the chain it leaves and mints the same amount on the chain it arrives at, one for one, so the user receives native USDC and never holds a wrapped copy.
At launch the bridge covered only EVM chains, the networks that run Ethereum-style smart contracts. The Block noted that Solana was left out even though CCTP already supported it, and Cointelegraph counted "at least 17 Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible blockchains" in the first version.
Native USDC transfers to and from Solana over CCTP predate this update, through third-party apps built on the protocol. Jupiter JUP$0.275-1.6% ran a standalone USDC bridge page on CCTP, which its documentation says has been retired and folded into its Bridge & Swap page. The change on 6 October 2026 is that Circle's own interface now offers the Solana route.
Which chains can bridge USDC to and from Solana
The chain picker on bridge.usdc.com, as read on 6 October 2026, lists Solana alongside Arbitrum, Arc, Avalanche, Base, Codex, Ethereum, HyperEVM, Ink, Linea, Monad, Optimism, Plume, Polygon, Sei, Sonic, Unichain, World Chain and XDC. By our reading of that list, Solana is the only chain on it that is not EVM-based.
A counter on the bridge page showed $506.5 million "bridged in the last day" when we read it on the evening of 6 October 2026 (UTC). That figure is a live snapshot covering every chain on the bridge, and the page does not break out a Solana share.
How to bridge USDC to Solana on bridge.usdc.com
The bridge page shows a "From" and a "To" chain selector, an amount field, a recipient field and a "Connect wallet" button. A summary panel displays the transfer speed, estimated time, fees and the amount the recipient will get. A transfer is tracked in three steps: sending USDC from the source chain, verifying the transaction, and delivering USDC to the destination.
Circle's announcement does not give fees, transfer times or a list of supported Solana wallets for the new route. The fee and time fields were blank when we read the page without a wallet connected.
USDC on Solana: the market the bridge now reaches
USDC on Solana has a market value of about $8.56 billion, according to Solana Compass token data as of 6 October 2026. That follows a heavy month of Circle minting on Solana in August and Circle's June issuance on the network.
A first-party route gives USDC holders on 18 other chains a Circle-operated path into that pool and back out. Circle has not published route-level volumes, so there is no data yet on how much USDC the Solana route carries.
