OnMeta On/Off Ramps
OnMeta Platform provides fiat-to-crypto on/off ramp infrastructure through widget and API integrations, supporting local payment methods like UPI and GCash with sub-60 second transaction processing across multiple blockchains.
Onmeta Compliance Stack
Onmeta Compliance Stack provides plug-and-play modules for KYC, AML, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring tailored for Web3 and regulated virtual digital asset use cases.
Onmeta White-Labeled Infrastructure
Onmeta White-Labeled Infrastructure enables businesses to offer branded on/off ramps, remittance, and checkout solutions using OnMeta's modular APIs and dashboards without building infrastructure from scratch.
OnMeta
OnMeta is a Bengaluru-based B2B fiat on-ramp and off-ramp infrastructure provider built for Web3 markets in India and Southeast Asia. It enables wallets, dApps, NFT marketplaces, and GameFi platforms to accept and disburse local currencies without building compliance pipelines from scratch.
The Problem OnMeta Solves
Acquiring crypto in India and Southeast Asia has historically required navigating centralized exchanges, lengthy KYC pipelines, and payment methods that most Web3 applications do not natively support. For developers, building compliant local payment rails is expensive and legally complex: India's anti-money laundering regime, Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) registration requirements, and UPI integration rules create barriers that most international teams cannot clear independently. OnMeta abstracts that compliance layer into an embeddable widget and API.
How It Works
OnMeta offers a pre-built on-ramp widget that developers embed via iframe or integrate through a JSON API. End users enter a fiat amount, complete a KYC flow, and pay through UPI (India), GCash or PayMaya (Philippines), or bank transfer. The platform's liquidity engine delivers purchased tokens to the user's wallet. The company reports that 91% of transactions settle in under 60 seconds.
The off-ramp path works in reverse: users connect a wallet, select the tokens they want to convert, and receive fiat via instant bank transfer. OnMeta launched off-ramp support on Solana in October 2023, alongside Hedera, allowing users holding Solana-based tokens to convert directly to INR or PHP without first bridging to another chain.
Beyond individual user flows, OnMeta offers two additional products. A cross-border payout service allows global platforms to settle payouts in USDT or USD and have OnMeta handle local INR delivery at the recipient end. A checkout solution accepts UPI or GCash on the customer side and settles merchants globally in USDT or USD. Both products widen the addressable market beyond retail crypto buyers to include gaming studios and fintech platforms managing cross-border payments.
Blockchain and Currency Support
The platform supports over 20 blockchains, including Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, Ronin, TON, zkSync Era, Avalanche, Optimism, Tezos, Fantom, Linea, Polygon zkEVM, Mantle, Scroll, Manta Pacific, Aptos, and B3. Supported fiat currencies include Indian Rupee (INR), Philippine Peso (PHP), and Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), with further expansion into Vietnam signaled in the company's product communications.
On the integration side, OnMeta's documentation states compatibility with 20,000+ DEXs and 150+ wallet providers, reflecting its aggregator positioning rather than acting as a single-chain custodial provider.
Compliance and Regulatory Status
OnMeta registered with India's Financial Intelligence Unit in July 2023, becoming one of the first fiat on-ramp providers in the country to formally comply with the March 2023 amendment to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) 2002. The platform includes a built-in compliance stack covering KYC, AML screening, sanctions checks, and transaction monitoring — all offered as a white-labeled module for partner platforms that need to satisfy Indian regulatory requirements without building their own compliance function.
New B2B partners complete a KYB (Know Your Business) onboarding process covering company details, beneficial owner information, and document uploads, which typically takes two to three working days.
Founding and Funding
OnMeta was founded in December 2021 by Bharath T (CEO) and Krishna Teja Nemani in Bengaluru. The product launched in April 2022. In September 2022 the company closed a $1.5 million seed round led by Skycatcher Fund, with participation from Luno Expeditions, Polygon Studios, and GSF Fund. Notable angel investors include Sandeep Nailwal (Polygon co-founder), Ganesh Swami (CEO of Covalent), Nitish Mittersain (founder of Nazara Technologies), Madhur Deep (India head at Alibaba), and Hiro Mashita (MD at Sin Growth Partners). The round was earmarked for multi-currency expansion, team growth, and community outreach. At the time of the raise, OnMeta had processed over $1 million in transactions for 15+ dApp clients with a team of approximately 25 engineers.
According to Tracxn, annual revenue reached ₹50–100 crore as of March 2025, suggesting meaningful growth well beyond the seed-stage metrics.
Partners and Ecosystem Position
OnMeta operates as a B2B infrastructure layer rather than a consumer-facing brand. Client references on its website include Sky Mavis (developer of the Ronin Network), DeFi Kingdoms, and Onramper. In October 2023 it announced integrations with Aura (an NFT marketplace for gaming and minting), Ottr Wallet (a self-custody wallet for USDC access), and Zerion via Onramper across Ethereum, BNB, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche, and zkSync. Bitget Wallet integrated OnMeta in March 2024 to strengthen India-specific fiat-to-crypto channels. NFTically was an earlier partner, announced in September 2022, focused on expanding NFT accessibility in India.
Within the Solana ecosystem, the October 2023 off-ramp launch was the project's most direct Solana-specific investment — enabling Indian and Philippine users to exit Solana-native positions directly into local bank accounts without leaving the chain.
Market Context
OnMeta targets the gap between global crypto infrastructure and local payment rails in high-growth emerging markets. India has a large retail crypto user base but limited compliant on-ramp options that natively handle UPI at scale. Southeast Asia presents a parallel dynamic, with GCash dominant in the Philippines and bank transfers standard across Indonesia. OnMeta's FIU registration and PMLA compliance position it as one of the few providers legally equipped to serve Indian Web3 users under the current regulatory framework.
The project is active as of 2026: the website and documentation are current, the blog continues to publish, and recent product materials indicate the platform is expanding fiat currency coverage further across Southeast Asia.
