MEXC

MEXC is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2018 by blockchain industry veterans. Registered in Seychelles and serving more than 40 million users across 170+ countries, it ranks among the top ten exchanges globally by trading volume. The platform positions itself around accessibility and low cost, offering an unusually broad asset selection combined with a zero-maker-fee structure that distinguishes it from most major competitors.

Core Problem and Approach

Getting into crypto — and specifically into emerging assets — has traditionally required navigating fragmented venues, high fees, and slow listing queues. MEXC addresses this by consolidating a wide range of asset types onto a single platform: spot markets, derivatives, on-chain DEX access, tokenized equities, and passive yield products all coexist under one account. The exchange pairs that breadth with an aggressive fee schedule and a reputation for listing new tokens faster than most rivals, which has made it a go-to destination for users who want early access to nascent projects.

Trading Products

Spot trading covers more than 3,000 trading pairs with a 0% maker fee and a 0.05% taker fee. Orders can be placed as market, limit, or trigger types. The zero-maker model means liquidity providers trade at no cost, a meaningful advantage over the 0.1% standard charged at many competing venues.

Futures trading extends to more than 1,200 pairs with leverage up to 500x, a 0% maker fee, and a 0.02% taker fee. MEXC integrates grid bots and copy trading directly into the futures interface, allowing automated and social strategies without third-party tools.

DEX+ routes on-chain trading through a centralized interface, giving users access to more than 10,000 decentralized pairs without leaving the MEXC account. This bridges the gap between CEX convenience and DeFi coverage.

MEXC Alpha enables trading of newly launched tokens directly from spot accounts before they are formally listed on the main order book, reducing the time between a project's on-chain launch and its appearance in a custodial environment.

Pre-Market Trading lets users acquire tokens ahead of their official spot listing, providing earlier price discovery.

Tokenized equities — more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs — round out the asset coverage, allowing crypto-native users to access traditional markets without switching platforms.

Earn and Launchpad Products

MEXC's passive yield suite includes staking, flexible savings, and a Launchpool program where users stake the platform's native MX token or USDT to receive allocations in new project launches. The complementary Airdrop+ program rewards users who complete platform tasks with token distributions from new and existing projects.

MX Token

MX is MEXC's native utility token. Holding MX qualifies users for fee discounts of up to 50% on spot and futures trading. VIP tiers layer in additional benefits based on trading volume, creating a tiered rewards structure for active users.

Solana Integration

MEXC has developed several features that connect its centralized infrastructure to the Solana ecosystem.

SOL spot and futures markets. MEXC lists SOL/USDT and SOL/USDC spot pairs alongside SOL perpetual futures contracts with up to 200x leverage. The exchange claims deep order book liquidity and zero maker fees on these pairs.

MXSOL liquid staking. Users can stake SOL on MEXC to receive MXSOL, a liquid staking token representing their staked position in MEXC's Solana validator pool. The estimated APY runs between 5% and 12%, the minimum stake is 0.1 SOL, and the conversion rate between SOL and MXSOL updates approximately every Solana epoch (roughly every two to three days). Unlike native Solana staking, which locks capital for the duration of an epoch before allowing withdrawals, MXSOL can be traded freely on MEXC's spot market at any time, preserving liquidity while earning on-chain yield. This removes the wallet setup and validator delegation steps that typically make Solana staking inaccessible to new users.

Rapid SPL token listings. MEXC has built a strong reputation for being among the first centralized exchanges to list new tokens from the Solana ecosystem. As Solana became the dominant chain for new token launches — driven by launchpads like Pump.fun — MEXC's fast-listing pipeline has made it a natural gateway between Solana's on-chain activity and centralized liquidity.

On-ramp coverage. MEXC supports over 100 payment methods for purchasing SOL, including Visa, Mastercard, bank transfers, and regional options such as PIX, PayNow, and GCash, broadening access for users in markets with limited fiat-to-crypto infrastructure.

Ecosystem Fit

MEXC sits at the intersection of centralized exchange infrastructure and Solana's high-throughput retail trading environment. Its zero-fee spot model, liquid SOL staking via MXSOL, and aggressive new-token listing pace make it one of the more active CEX partners for Solana ecosystem projects and traders. The exchange's broad geographic footprint — 170+ countries — also makes it a common first point of contact for users in regions where direct on-chain access to Solana's DeFi ecosystem remains complicated.

Regulatory access is not universal: MEXC restricts service in the United States, Canada, Singapore, and certain other jurisdictions.
