Jito BAM Preconfirmations Go Live on Solana, Covering 34% of Network Stake
Jito BAM preconfirmations launched September 9 on Solana mainnet, covering
Jito JTO$0.550+1.6% activated preconfirmations for its Block Assembly Marketplace on Solana mainnet on September 9, routing early transaction signals to traders through distribution partners Helius hSOL$142.16+1.1% and Triton One. At launch, BAM-compatible validators account for 34.1% of all staked SOL across 383 of 665 active validators, per SolanaFloor. The launch opens a new fee stream for those validators, with first distributions scheduled for October 2026.
How BAM Preconfirmation Revenue Flows to Validators and the DAO
Revenue from preconfirmation subscriptions splits three ways, per CryptoBriefing: 35% to participating validators by stake weight, 35% to the Jito DAO treasury, and 30% to the infrastructure providers routing streams to subscribers. Helius and Triton One share that 30% as launch distribution partners. The DAO treasury allocation is governed by holders of the JTO token. Rewards are paid monthly as stake-weighted priority fees.
Enforcement is mechanical. A BAM Verifier monitors each finalized block against the preconfirmation commitments the validator broadcast. Validators whose blocks deviate from those commitments face network disconnection.
Over the 30 days ending September 10, Jito's block engine tips averaged roughly 1,500 SOL per day, per Solana Compass fee analytics. BAM preconfirmation fees beginning in October will supplement that existing tip revenue.
Jito tips averaged 1,178 SOL per day in the BAM launch week; September 9, preconfirmations' launch date, was the week's highest day at 1,807 SOL.

Validators running the Jito-Solana client join by adding a --bam-url flag; those running Firedancer participate through the FireBAM client. No hardware changes are required, and the BAM documentation notes that JitoSOL rankings and vote credits are unaffected provided validators avoid downtime.
For subscribers, BAM signals arrive after a validator has scheduled a transaction but before it is packed into entries and shreds. Early testing showed a 5-10ms advantage at the p50 latency mark versus shred-based signals, the window high-frequency strategies depend on for execution edge. As Helius's preconfirmations documentation makes clear, a preconfirmation is an early signal rather than a guarantee: a scheduled transaction has not yet landed on-chain and could still fail or be dropped.
BAM uses Trusted Execution Environments as hardware enclaves to handle transaction sequencing separately from validator execution, letting the network verify that sequencing commitments were not altered before a block is built. Jito CEO Lucas Bruder told SolanaFloor the system "consistently offers the highest compute units and user transactions per block" compared with rival clients.
BAM Stake Share Grew From 12% to 34% Through 2026
BAM adoption among validators climbed steadily before preconfirmation revenue went live. Coverage stood at roughly 12% of network stake in January 2026 and reached 34.1% by September 9, per SolanaFloor. An early mainnet phase ran for approximately a year before payouts activated, giving validators time to migrate ahead of any revenue incentive.
The preconfirmations rollout follows the Q2 2026 activation of BAM's Maker Priority Plugin, a separate product on the same client stack. MPP had 17 operators at launch, including BisonFi, Tessera, and SolFi. Jito's development roadmap lists expanding MPP to additional markets and introducing intra-slot clock mechanisms to counter toxic order flow.
Bruder previewed the BAM architecture in a December 2024 Lightspeed podcast and presented the system at Breakpoint 2025.
