Synesis One
Synesis One is a train2earn platform on Solana that crowdsources human-generated data to train artificial intelligence systems, rewarding contributors with SNS governance tokens for the annotation and ontology work that AI systems need to learn natural language reasoning.
What It Does
Synesis One positions itself at the intersection of AI data markets and decentralized finance. The platform recruits human contributors to perform annotation, classification, sorting, and labeling tasks. Instead of selling this labor to AI companies through centralized data brokers, Synesis One encodes the output as on-chain assets and distributes rewards algorithmically through its DAO.
The primary AI beneficiary is Mind AI, which the project describes as a natural language reasoning engine distinct from large language models in that it builds structured ontological knowledge rather than statistical pattern matching. Mind AI purchases access to the ontologies Synesis One community members create, and the fees it pays flow back to contributors and Kanon NFT holders.
The platform is accessible via web browser, iOS App Store, Android Google Play, and the Solana Mobile Saga dapp store.
How It Works
The workflow centers on ontology mining. An ontology, in this context, is a structured representation of a word, concept, or relationship — the kind of labeled semantic data that allows an AI to understand not just that "bank" is a word, but that it can mean a financial institution or a river embankment depending on context.
Contributors fall into two roles: builders, who create new ontologies, and validators, who verify and quality-check submitted entries. Both earn SNS tokens for their contributions, with allocations determined by the Synessis Relevance Index (SRI), a scoring mechanism that weights contributions by quality and utility to the AI system.
Participating requires holding and staking Kanon NFTs. Kanon NFTs also carry a passive income component: each Kanon represents a specific word or concept in the ontology library, and when an AI client — primarily Mind AI — accesses that word's data, the Kanon holder receives a portion of the access fee paid by the AI company.
Dual Token System
Synesis One runs on two distinct token types.
SNS is the governance token, with a fixed supply of approximately 1 billion tokens. It is used for DAO voting, staking, and reward distribution. Token holders vote on protocol parameters, mining reward allocations, and strategic decisions. The SNS token on Solana uses mint address SNSNkV9zfG5ZKWQs6x4hxvBRV6s8SqMfSGCtECDvdMd.
Kanon is a semi-fungible NFT token. Each Kanon represents a word or concept in the ontology library. Kanons can be bought, sold, and traded on Kanon Exchange, the project's native marketplace. Holders can also use Kanons as DeFi collateral or convert them into fungible tokens via the Atomic Split function, which fractionates an NFT into tradable units.
Revenue into the ecosystem is generated from mining fees paid by AI companies for data access, 2.5% marketplace trading fees on Kanon Exchange, 2.5% creator royalties, DeFi service fees, and treasury-managed assets.
Scale and Achievements
According to project documentation and independent reporting, Synesis One's community has crowdsourced over 350,000 data points, resulting in more than 1,500 new subjects and intents added to Mind AI's knowledge base. More than 38 million SNS tokens have been distributed to builders and validators as compensation for their contributions.
The project coined the train2earn label within the Solana ecosystem, framing AI data labor as an income-generating activity for community participants rather than unpaid contribution to proprietary datasets.
Security
CertiK has rated Synesis One at 2.8 out of 10, indicating limited security coverage relative to the project's scope and the value of assets handled through its contracts. No specific audit findings or remediation disclosures appear in publicly available project documentation.
Team and Partnerships
The project has a disclosed strategic partnership with UpRockCom. Synesis One is headquartered in San Francisco, CA. Specific team member backgrounds are not prominently documented in public-facing materials.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Synesis One's choice of Solana as its base layer reflects the economics of data annotation micro-payments: rewarding contributors incrementally for each validated data point requires near-zero transaction fees. On Ethereum, gas costs on small reward distributions would eliminate contributor earnings entirely. Solana's fee structure makes per-annotation payouts economically viable.
The project also participates in the Solana Mobile ecosystem via the Saga dapp store, positioning train2earn alongside wallets, DeFi interfaces, and games as a consumer-facing Solana application.
Current Status
The SNS token trades at a small fraction of its January 2022 all-time high of $0.24, having experienced the broad market correction of 2022 and subsequent extended consolidation. On-chain trading volume remains modest. The DAO structure, smart contracts, and documentation infrastructure remain operational. Social media activity from the project's official channels has been limited in recent periods.
