Slash Card
Slash Card is a Japan-only crypto card that users top up from a wallet; the card balance is held in USDC and can be issued as a physical or virtual card.
Slash Vision Labs
Slash Vision Labs is a Japanese Web3 fintech company building crypto payment and asset management infrastructure designed to bridge self-custodied digital assets with everyday commerce. Founded in May 2022, the company operates with the goal of giving users sovereignty over their assets while enabling real-world spending through compliant financial products. Its suite of tools spans a decentralized merchant payment gateway, a self-custodied crypto credit card, a DeFi yield layer, and a mobile super-app tying them together.
Slash Payment
Slash Payment is the company's original product, launched in October 2022. It is a Web3 payment gateway that allows merchants to accept any cryptocurrency token from customers. Under the hood, the protocol uses decentralized liquidity pools and smart contracts to convert the incoming customer token into the merchant's preferred settlement currency at point of sale, with no manual swap step required on either side. The design removes the need for a traditional payment processor as the settlement intermediary, enabling merchants to avoid conventional transaction fees while still receiving stable value.
By late 2024, Slash Payment had reportedly been adopted by more than 4,000 merchants. The gateway is accompanied by a developer integration guide with both plugin and API options, allowing web-based businesses to add crypto checkout without building settlement logic from scratch.
Slash Card
Slash Card is a Visa-branded prepaid card that lets users charge USDC directly from a self-custodied wallet and spend it at any Visa-accepting merchant worldwide. Rather than converting holdings to local currency ahead of time, the cardholder's USDC balance is settled at the point of sale, preserving self-custody up to the moment of transaction.
The card launched in public beta in Japan in April 2026, in partnership with Orient Corporation (Orico), which provides the licensed BIN sponsorship required under Japanese financial regulation. Slash describes it as Japan's only product linking self-custody wallets to an established payment network.
Slash Earn and Slash App
Slash Earn is the yield layer of the ecosystem. Users can deposit USDC and other stablecoins into decentralized finance positions, including liquidity pool provision and lending, to generate returns while those same balances remain accessible for card spending.
Slash App is a mobile super-app integrating Card, Earn, and additional features under a single interface designed to match the user experience of mainstream fintech applications.
The SVL Token
Slash Vision Labs issued its native utility token, SVL, in 2024 via an IDO on Bybit's Launchpool. SVL is an ERC20 token issued on the Mantle Network with a total supply of 10 billion.
SVL serves three principal functions within the ecosystem:
- Revenue sharing: 100% of platform revenue generated by Slash Payment and Slash Card is distributed to SVL stakers denominated in USDC.
- Governance: Token holders participate in platform decision-making through on-chain voting.
- Partner rewards: Stakers gain access to exclusive campaigns, bounties, and partner incentives within the Slash ecosystem.
Token distribution: 46% to investors, 13% to community, 13% to operations and reserve, 10% to staking rewards released linearly over four years, 10% to team and advisors, and 8% to liquidity.
Supported Networks and Assets
The SVL token operates on the Mantle Network as an ERC20. The Slash Payment gateway is designed to accept any token as input, with the merchant receiving settlement in a stable or preferred asset. For Slash Card, USDC is the primary balance asset.
Slash integrates with multiple blockchain ecosystems. The company's website lists Solana, Mantle, Uniswap, and Kaia as blockchain partners. Infrastructure partners include Circle (issuer of USDC), Fireblocks (custody and transaction security), Chainalysis (AML compliance and transaction monitoring), and HashKey.
Solana Ecosystem Engagement
Slash Vision Labs has a defined presence in the Solana ecosystem, with particular focus on the Asian market. The company partnered with Superteam Earn, Solana's community bounty and grants program, to drive business development activity within the Solana ecosystem in Japan and the broader Asia-Pacific region. As part of this initiative, Slash distributed Chiitan Coin (CTAN), a Solana-native token, as rewards for contributors.
The Slash Payment gateway also supports Solana-native tokens as accepted payment inputs, making it directly relevant to merchants seeking to accept SOL-based assets from customers.
Team
Slash Vision Labs is led by CEO Shinsuke Sato. The company operates remotely with an output-driven evaluation model. It has positioned itself as a compliance-focused operator within Japan's evolving digital asset regulatory environment.
Security and Compliance
Slash Vision Labs works with institutional-grade compliance partners. Fireblocks provides wallet custody and transaction security services. Chainalysis is integrated for AML screening and compliance monitoring. The Slash Card operates under Japanese financial regulation, with Orient Corporation (Orico) providing regulated BIN sponsorship infrastructure.
