The project has operated without a named team or formal organization since launch. The official website at shoggoth.monster includes an image generator built on glif.app for creating shoggoth-themed profile pictures, along with a smiley-face overlay tool that lets users apply the mask from the original meme to their own images.

The community navigated an internal dispute in the months after launch when a separate account operating as @ShoggothAI attempted to launch a competing token and draw users from the original community.
