Moonit Fun
Moonit Fun implements token launchpad functionality through bonding curve mechanics, enabling token creation with automated liquidity migration. The system provides classic and flat curve options while distributing creator rewards through LP fee sharing.
Moonit
Moonit
Moonit is a Solana-based meme token launchpad operating at moon.it that offers two distinct products under one roof: a self-service token creation platform called Moonit Fun, and an AI-driven pipeline called Meme Money Markets that automatically converts viral internet content into tradeable on-chain assets. As of July 2025, the platform had powered over 300,000 token launches and onboarded more than 700,000 users, positioning it as the third-largest meme coin launchpad by trading volume — behind only Pump.fun — after reporting a 5,878% increase in volume around the time of its 9GAG partnership launch.
Origins and Backing
Moonit traces its roots to DEX Screener's Moonshot, a Solana token launchpad that was later reconstituted and rebranded as part of a broader collaboration. The platform is operated through Helio, the payments infrastructure business owned by MoonPay, and the current iteration emerged in mid-2024 before expanding significantly in 2025. The project brings together a consortium of partners including MoonPay, DEX Screener, 9GAG, Memeland, and MemeStrategy.
This is not a typical solo-founder crypto project. Moonit's backing from Helio means it integrates MoonPay's payment rails directly, enabling users to buy tokens with credit cards, PayPal, or Venmo alongside traditional Solana wallets. Wallets are generated by email address, removing the friction of seed phrases and browser extensions for new entrants to the space.
Moonit Fun: The Self-Service Launchpad
Moonit Fun is the core creator product. Any user can deploy a new Solana token within minutes by supplying a name, ticker, image, and social links. The platform takes a 1% fee on all trades — both during the bonding curve phase and after graduation to a DEX. Launch costs vary by the chosen graduation destination: 3 SOL to launch to Meteora or 6 SOL to Raydium, with a 2 SOL bonus paid out to the creator upon Raydium graduation.
Moonit Fun offers two bonding curve models:
Classic Curve follows a gradual acceleration model toward graduation, targeting approximately $75,000 to $76,000 in market cap (around 431 SOL) before the token moves to a DEX. This mirrors the original Moonshot mechanics.
Flat Curve maintains a uniform token price until the creator's specified liquidity threshold is reached. The flat curve unlocks anti-snipe protections — trade volume limits and Moonit UI-only access — that give creators more control over early distribution and reduce bot-driven front-running.
Once a token graduates, it migrates to either Raydium or Meteora. The Meteora route is the more creator-friendly option: 80% of LP fee revenue in SOL flows directly to the creator's wallet in daily automated payouts, with Moonit retaining 20%. Token-side fees are burned by default to reduce circulating supply. Token launches on Moonit also receive free enhanced metadata displays on DEX Screener upon graduation.
The platform also includes a Community Takeover (CTO) mechanism: any holder who controls at least 1% of a token's supply and pays a $299 fee can update token metadata across integrated platforms — giving communities a path to revive or redirect tokens when original creators go absent.
A buyback mechanism activates as tokens reach market cap milestones between $5 million and $100 million. A progressively larger portion of LP fees is used to automatically purchase and support the token at each level, creating a structural demand floor for graduating tokens.
Moonit's contracts have been audited by Ackee Blockchain, a respected Solana-focused security firm. The platform explicitly holds no native platform token and has stated no plans to release one, which it frames as a consumer-protection measure against impersonators.
Meme Money Markets: Viral Culture as On-Chain Assets
The more distinctive product is Meme Money Markets, a fully automated system that watches 9GAG — the meme aggregator with over 200 million registered users — and mints new Solana tokens the moment a post hits viral thresholds. There is no human decision-making in which memes get tokenized: an AI monitors engagement signals (likes, shares, views) and triggers token creation when a post crosses a defined popularity threshold. No founders, no pre-sales, no developer allocations.
The 9GAG partnership was announced on July 31, 2025. Tokens minted through Meme Money Markets end with the suffix "9gag" in their contract address, distinguishing them from Moonit Fun launches (which end in "moon"). Each Meme Money Market token starts with a supply of one billion, with 800 million sold through the bonding curve. Upon graduation — at roughly $75,000 market cap — 88 SOL and 200 million tokens move into a Meteora liquidity pool.
The mechanism is designed for fairness: all users see the token at the same moment it goes live, with no insider early access. Tokens are immediately tradeable through Axiom, Photon, and Jupiter once launched. The pitch is that meme communities can now directly capture the financial value their virality generates, rather than watching it flow to platform advertisers.
Helio CEO Stijn Paumen described the system as removing "middlemen entirely" to capture "raw virality and inject it directly into the on-chain bloodstream." 9GAG founder Ray Chan framed it as memes becoming "autonomous assets with real-world value, owned by the communities that made them viral."
Moonit has also published an Auto-Launch SDK for other platforms that want to implement similar culture-to-crypto tokenization pipelines, opening the model to content platforms beyond 9GAG.
Market Position
Moonit operates in a highly competitive segment. Pump.fun commands the dominant share of Solana meme coin launches, but Moonit carved out meaningful differentiation through its creator revenue model and the Meme Money Markets product. The partnership with 9GAG brought a web2 distribution angle that no other Solana launchpad has matched: rather than drawing users from existing crypto circles, it connects Moonit's launch mechanics to a mainstream meme audience with no prior blockchain exposure.
The platform's accessibility features — email wallets, fiat payment options, no seed phrase requirements — reflect a deliberate push toward onboarding users who have never held Solana before. Combined with the 9GAG user base and the automated token pipeline, Moonit is attempting to bridge the gap between internet culture at scale and on-chain speculative assets, using Solana's throughput and low fees as the infrastructure layer.
