HindSight VIP

TLDR: HindSight VIP is a blockchain data visualization platform that shows on-chain activity as a map of shapes, colors and connecting lines instead of rows of transactions. It supports Solana alongside Ethereum and other networks, and its Lighthouse bot sends alerts on wallet moves, unusual token activity and suspected malicious contracts.

What HindSight VIP does

Block explorers usually show wallet and transaction data as tables of hashes, addresses and amounts. HindSight VIP turns that data into interactive diagrams. Users can follow value as it moves between wallets, contracts, exchanges and protocols. The official site says the tool is for tracking assets, understanding activity and building trust across blockchain networks. Listed use cases include fraud detection, due diligence, DeFi analytics, token and NFT tracking, developer testing and education.

Founder and CEO Chandler Schaak described the approach to the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business in February 2025: "you're looking at a map and a drawing, rather than a checkbook." Schaak is dyslexic. He told the publication that HindSight started as a way to make blockchain data easier for him to read himself.

How the visual explorer works

The core product is the Visual Explorer. Each blockchain entity appears as a node, and transactions appear as lines or arrows between nodes. Different shapes stand for different kinds of entity. HindSight's own explainer uses circles for wallets and squares for contracts, while independent coverage describes rings for wallets, squares for tokens or staking contracts, and triangles for exchanges. According to the Tri-Cities report, node size reflects net worth and red borders mark entities flagged as malicious. The company's explainer adds that color shows status, with green for normal activity and red for suspicious patterns.

Features listed on the homepage include:

• Transaction tracing: follow value across wallets, contracts, exchanges and protocols.
• Relationship mapping: explore links between addresses without losing the thread of an investigation.
• Recency spacing: separate current activity from older relationships on the map.
• Custom filtering: enter specific addresses and filter out data you don't need.
• Expandable nodes: switch between a simplified map and a full-resolution graph. The simplified and detailed views can both be kept for documentation.

HindSight says the explorer can surface sudden bursts of transfers between unfamiliar wallets, wallet drainers, wash trading, liquidity drains and volume spikes on thinly traded tokens.

Lighthouse alerts

Lighthouse is HindSight's alerting bot. Users link a Discord account to turn it on. The product page describes three alert types:

1. Wallet tracking: alerts when tracked or top wallets buy, sell or move assets between chains.
2. Token monitoring: automatic alerts on abnormal token movement.
3. Security alerts: AI-based detection of malicious contracts and rug pulls, which HindSight says are flagged within about three seconds.

Lighthouse currently covers Ethereum, Solana and the XRP Ledger, and the page says more chains are coming. HindSight's multi-chain setup guide describes Solana alerts built for fast markets. They include percentage-based volatility triggers, DeFi and memecoin activity monitoring, and NFT collection-level triggers. The same guide lists the web dashboard, Discord, Telegram, email and webhooks as delivery channels. Rules can combine price, volume and wallet conditions within a set time window.

Supported networks

Sources list slightly different sets of chains, probably because support has changed over time. The homepage currently lists Ethereum, Solana, Optimism and TRON for the explorer. Alchemy's dapp directory lists Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum and XRPL, and notes that HindSight uses Alchemy's Transfers API. Solana appears in every source.

Pricing and access

HindSight VIP uses a freemium model. Alchemy's listing says core features are free and premium analytics and custom dashboards need a paid plan. The pricing page offers monthly, six-month and 12-month billing. Lighthouse includes a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. In February 2025, Schaak said full access cost $10 per month. Current prices aren't shown in static form on the site.

Company, team and patents

HindSight VIP Inc. is based in Boardman, Oregon. A Marquis Who's Who profile of Schaak from August 2025 dates the company to 2022. The Tri-Cities report said the platform itself launched in late 2024 with a team of eight and "a few hundred users." At that time the company had three patents pending.

The August 2025 profile says HindSight received U.S. Patent No. 12,260,309 B1 for a machine learning system that classifies smart contracts and detects suspicious on-chain behavior. It also says the company is moving from a consumer tool toward enterprise uses such as financial compliance, blockchain auditing, supply chain transparency and DAO governance. It names Web3 Africa, Hacken and The Code Block as partners. The homepage lists Droid Capital among organizations that use the product.

Recent activity

The project is active. Its blog published regularly through late 2025 and into 2026. Posts include a December 2025 case study that uses HindSight visuals to trace a broker-impersonation scam, a Solana wallet-tracker guide, and a February 2026 post on stablecoins, sanctions and cross-chain monitoring. That post reflects the company's recent focus on compliance.

Place in the Solana ecosystem

On Solana, HindSight VIP sits among analytics and monitoring tools rather than explorers built for transaction-by-transaction lookup. Its niche is visual investigation. It is aimed at traders following fast-moving wallets and memecoins, at users checking whether a counterparty or contract is linked to known scams, and increasingly at teams doing compliance or due-diligence work across Solana and other chains.
