On-chain activity
Hindsight VIP App
A blockchain explorer platform that provides transaction analysis, wallet tracking, and smart contract monitoring across multiple networks.
HindSight VIP
HindSight VIP is a multichain blockchain data visualization platform that converts raw on-chain transaction data into interactive graphical maps using a proprietary shape-and-color visual language, making wallet and contract activity readable without technical expertise.
The Problem It Solves
Standard block explorers present blockchain data as long alphanumeric strings — wallet addresses, transaction hashes, contract identifiers — that require technical fluency to interpret. For most users, understanding how funds move between wallets, whether a counterparty is legitimate, or how a DeFi protocol routes value demands either deep expertise or trust in intermediaries.
HindSight VIP takes a different approach: instead of displaying raw text, it renders blockchain activity as an interactive visual graph where entities and relationships are immediately legible, even to users with no blockchain background.
Visual Notation System
The platform's core differentiator is a consistent visual grammar applied across all supported networks. Wallet addresses appear as rings (circles), token and staking contracts appear as squares, and exchange addresses appear as triangles. Arrows connecting these shapes represent individual transactions. The size of each shape scales with the entity's relative net worth, giving users an at-a-glance sense of relative scale and significance.
Security states are encoded visually as well. Entities flagged as scams, wallet drainers, or otherwise malicious are marked with red pulsating borders, making threats visually conspicuous even within dense transaction graphs. Users can toggle between simplified maps and full-resolution graph views depending on how much detail a given analysis requires.
This notation system was built with accessibility as a stated design principle. Founder and CEO Chandler Schaak has dyslexia, and his experience navigating information-dense interfaces directly shaped the platform's design philosophy: clear visual contrast, consistent layouts, and limited motion to avoid overwhelming users who process information differently.
Core Features
Visual Block Explorer: The primary interface allows users to input any wallet or contract address and generate an interactive visualization of that address's transaction history and entity connections. Rather than scrolling through lists of hash strings, users see a live graph of asset flows and counterparty relationships.
Lighthouse: HindSight VIP's Lighthouse feature extends the platform beyond on-demand lookups into passive monitoring. Lighthouse sends real-time Discord notifications when tracked entities execute transactions or when price thresholds are crossed, functioning as an alerting layer on top of the visual explorer.
Fraud and Security Detection: The platform explicitly targets due diligence and fraud prevention use cases. Suspicious activity patterns — fund movements that diverge from normal behavior, connections to flagged addresses — are surfaced visually rather than buried in transaction logs. The company lists security firms Hacken and DCODEBlock among organizations using the platform.
Multichain Coverage: HindSight VIP supports Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, and XRPL. The visual grammar applies consistently across all supported networks, so users familiar with the notation on one chain can immediately interpret activity on another.
Target Audience
HindSight VIP spans several professional and retail use cases. On the professional side, it targets due diligence analysts, audit professionals, security and fraud detection specialists, and developers conducting smart contract analysis. On the research and retail side, it serves DeFi analysts tracking protocol activity, NFT and token researchers, educators introducing blockchain concepts, and individual investors monitoring their own portfolios.
Pricing
The platform operates on a freemium model. Core visualization and exploration features are available at no cost. As of early 2025, premium plans were priced at $10 per month, adding advanced analytics and custom dashboard functionality.
Company Background
HindSight VIP was founded in late 2024 by Chandler Schaak and operates out of Boardman, Oregon, with an eight-person team. Schaak came to blockchain from an unconventional background — prior roles in insurance and telecommunications — before pursuing a blockchain certificate at Portland State University and completing a nine-month fintech boot camp at the University of Washington. As of February 2025, the platform had several hundred users and had filed three pending patents covering its visualization approach.
The platform is listed on Alchemy's DeFi analytics directory and the Crossmint ecosystem registry.
Content and Education
HindSight VIP maintains an active blog with over 136 posts as of mid-2026. Content covers practical blockchain security topics — fraud case studies, wallet monitoring guides, cross-chain sanctions tracking — alongside introductory material for users new to blockchain. Recent posts have focused on enterprise use cases, including how monitoring stablecoin flows chain-by-chain can miss sanctions exposure that cross-chain analysis would catch.
