Fridon AI

Fridon AI (also written FridonAI) was an open-source AI chat tool for crypto traders, built around Solana. You typed a request in plain English. The app replied with price analysis, coin searches, alerts or an on-chain action. It won the CoinPaprika track of QuickNode's Build On hackathon in late 2024.

The project now looks inactive. Its website and chat app did not load when we checked on 12 October 2026. The last change to its public code is dated 7 April 2025. The code is still on GitHub under the MIT license. Several tokens named FRIDON trade on Solana, but the project's own pages never mention a token.

How Fridon AI works: chat agents and plugins

Fridon AI is a set of plugins behind one chat window. Each plugin is an AI agent with its own tools. A tool does one job, such as fetching prices or working out an indicator. A router reads each message and hands it to the plugin best placed to answer.

The project's README lists the parts:

• The "brain" is written in Python. It uses LangChain and LangGraph to pass messages between agents and keep track of the chat.
• The backend is a NestJS service. It links the front end to the brain and handles blockchain operations.
• Redis carries messages between the two, and PostgreSQL stores the app's data.
• A scoring step rates each chat and sends a user score to a separate API.

Developers could install the plugin framework alone with pip install fridonai-core. They could also run the whole app with Docker Compose. The team's hackathon entry names OpenAI as the AI model provider and CoinPaprika as the source of market data.

Fridon AI features: analytics, coin search, alerts and on-chain commands

The README describes five modules:

• FridonAnalytics: price analysis and charts, copying the strategies of top traders, coin risk prediction, coin recommendations and protocol churn analysis.
• FridonSearch: finding coins by technical indicators or by matching price chart patterns, rather than by name.
• FridonNotifier: custom alerts based on your own indicators, or on what well-known traders do.
• FridonBlockchain: blockchain actions through text commands.
• FridonChat: the single chat window that ties the other modules together as plugins.

The plugin folder in the code shows what was built. When we looked, it held plugins for chart analysis, chart-pattern search, a coin watcher and a wallet. It also held an "OG traders" simulator and two Bonk-themed plugins. One sends alerts and one teaches.

The last work on the code came in March and April 2025. It added futures-market indicators and a data feed from Coinalyze, the commit history shows.

Is Fridon AI still active?

No, as far as we can tell. Three signs point the same way:

• Website: fridon.ai, www.fridon.ai and chat.fridon.ai all failed to load on 12 October 2026. Each returned a security certificate issued for an unrelated domain. That means the addresses no longer point at the Fridon AI app.
• Code: the newest commit to the main repository is dated 7 April 2025. The repository is not marked as archived. It had 76 stars, 16 forks and 815 commits when we checked.
• X account: our fetch of @Fridon_AI returned no posts.

We found no shutdown notice. The project may just have been left as it stood.

Who Fridon AI is for now

Today Fridon AI suits one group: developers who want a worked example of a crypto chatbot built from several AI agents. The code shows how to send chat messages to specialist agents with LangGraph. It also shows how to link a Python AI service to a NestJS backend over Redis. The MIT license allows reuse.

It is not a product a trader can use. There is no hosted app to sign in to. Running it yourself means bringing your own API keys and servers, for code that has not changed since April 2025.

Is the FRIDON token official? Risks to know

We found no official Fridon AI token. The README and the hackathon entry do not mention a token, a token address or a supply plan.

Several tokens named Fridon AI or FRIDON exist on Solana. Most have pump.fun-style addresses. Wallet listings mark the ones we checked as unverified. Some carry the project's name, tagline and X handle. Anyone can copy those into a new token, so they prove nothing. Treat every FRIDON token as unrelated to the project unless the team says otherwise through a channel it controls.

Other risks:

• Lookalike sites. The original domains no longer serve the app. If a site at those addresses, or a similar one, asks you to connect a wallet, do not trust it on the name alone.
• No audits. We found no security audit of the code. We also found no on-chain program that belongs to the project.
• Unclear wallet handling. The README gives the backend the job of building and sending transactions. It does not explain how keys or user approvals are handled. Review that part before you connect real funds to a copy of the code.
• Stale code. Nothing has been updated since April 2025. Its libraries and data feeds may no longer work or be safe.

Fridon AI hackathon history and team

Fridon AI's public record rests on one event. It entered QuickNode's Build On hackathon in November 2024. QuickNode posted the results on 2 December 2024 and named FridonAI the winner of the CoinPaprika track. The contest drew more than 1,800 applications and offered over $275,000 in prizes. The same post names other projects as the winners of the Best Overall, Marketplace Add-ons and PYUSD awards.

The entry lists one team member, Nika Losaberidze. He also wrote the recent commits. In a LinkedIn post he called the project "an end-to-end chatbot platform, driven by domain-specific agents and dynamic plugins".

The project is older than the hackathon. Its GitHub account holds three earlier "legacy" code bases, two of them last updated in June 2024. It also holds a copy of Jupiter's open-source swap terminal.
