Amp

Amp is a blockchain data platform that indexes smart contract events in real time, reconciles chain reorganizations, and exposes results as structured SQL tables via SQL, REST, and GraphQL interfaces. The system preserves cryptographic provenance for every dataset, providing audit-grade lineage from transaction origin to settlement. Deployable on-premises, in hybrid, or cloud environments, it serves regulated banks, stablecoin issuers, and enterprise teams managing compliance obligations including GENIUS Act requirements, AML monitoring, and SAR filing procedures.

Edge & Node

Edge & Node is a blockchain infrastructure and software development company founded in 2021 by Yaniv Tal, Brandon Ramirez, and Jannis Pohlmann — the core team originally behind The Graph protocol. The company emerged from stealth to continue building blockchain data tooling beyond The Graph's decentralized indexing network, with an explicit focus on the compliance-heavy needs of regulated financial institutions and, more recently, the emerging market for autonomous AI agent infrastructure.

Background and Founding

Edge & Node was founded in early 2021 as the primary development organization behind The Graph, which had launched its mainnet in December 2020 alongside a public GRT token sale. The Graph Foundation was established separately to govern the protocol, while Edge & Node focused on software development and protocol advancement. The company has raised $60 million and employs approximately 55 people.

As The Graph scaled to serve tens of thousands of projects and over 1.27 trillion cumulative queries, Edge & Node identified a gap between what decentralized indexing provides and what banks, stablecoin issuers, and regulated enterprises require: cryptographically verifiable, audit-grade blockchain data pipelines that can be deployed on-premises and meet compliance standards like SOC 2 Type II. That gap led to the creation of Amp.

Amp: Blockchain Data Platform

Amp is Edge & Node's flagship product, described internally as "the first blockchain-native database designed for scale." Where The Graph made blockchain data queryable for developers building dApps, Amp targets regulated institutions that need structured, auditable datasets with preserved cryptographic provenance — data their compliance teams can defend to regulators.

The platform transforms raw on-chain activity into structured, verifiable datasets and exposes them through multiple query interfaces: REST, GraphQL, SQL for streaming or batch workloads, and Arrow Flight (a gRPC-based protocol) for high-performance binary streaming suited to analytics pipelines. Data is organized as Apache Parquet files in object storage (S3, GCS, or local), with metadata tracked in PostgreSQL.

One of Amp's distinguishing technical features is automatic ABI-to-SQL translation: developers call eventTables(abi) to convert smart contract event definitions directly into queryable SQL tables, eliminating manual parsing. The platform also handles blockchain reorganizations natively without requiring custom reconciliation logic, which is a common pain point for teams building on raw RPC data.

Amp benchmarks published at launch showed 100x better data freshness compared to traditional infrastructure (1-second latency versus 101 seconds) and over 4,300x improvement in backfill performance. The platform claims throughput of more than 4 million events per second and query performance 5.9x faster than BigQuery's public blockchain datasets. It integrates directly with enterprise analytics tools including Power BI, Snowflake, and Datadog, and supports deployment in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid configurations.

In April 2026, Edge & Node launched Solana support for Amp, bringing real-time Solana blockchain data into the same verifiable, enterprise-ready pipeline that covers other networks. This positions Amp as a cross-chain data layer for fintech companies and AI systems that need to process Solana transactions alongside other blockchains through a single, consistent API.

Ampersend: Control Layer for Agent Economies

Alongside Amp, Edge & Node has built Ampersend, which the company describes as "the control layer for agent economies." Ampersend addresses the operational challenges that arise when AI agent swarms begin executing autonomous financial transactions at scale.

Ampersend is built on x402, an open payment protocol developed by Coinbase that embeds stablecoin payments directly into HTTP using the reserved 402 status code. The flow is lightweight: an agent requests a resource, the server responds with an HTTP 402 containing the payment amount, recipient address, and target network, and the agent signs and retries with a payment payload attached. This eliminates the need for account signups, API keys, or subscription billing — the agent pays per request at the protocol level.

Ampersend layers management infrastructure on top of this model: real-time dashboards of agent transaction flows, granular budget controls (daily, monthly, and per-transaction limits), automated wallet top-ups, and swarm-level analytics from a single interface. The platform supports networks including Base and Solana, which has accounted for a significant share of x402 transaction volume given Solana's sub-second finality and low transaction costs that make microtransactions economically viable.

Ampersend was developed collaboratively with Coinbase, Google, and the Ethereum Foundation's dAI team, following the open-standards approach that shaped The Graph's original infrastructure design.

Compliance and Security Posture

Edge & Node designed Amp's architecture with SOC 2 alignment from the ground up. Every dataset preserves cryptographic provenance — the verifiable proof that blocks are legitimate, transactions are unaltered, and the data represents a continuous chain without gaps or duplicates. This "verifiable extraction" model is a central selling point for institutional clients who must demonstrate data integrity to regulators.

The company has published guidance on SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications as they apply to blockchain data platforms, indicating that compliance documentation is a core part of their enterprise sales process. A dedicated Trust & Security section on their website covers their security posture in detail.

Blockchain Consulting Services

Beyond software, Edge & Node offers blockchain consulting services targeting regulated institutions: compliance architecture design, implementation support, integration work, and ongoing advisory. This services arm complements Amp's software offering, particularly for banks and financial institutions navigating early blockchain adoption.

Position in the Solana Ecosystem

Edge & Node connects to Solana through two channels. First, Amp's April 2026 Solana launch makes Solana transaction data available to enterprises and fintech developers who need production-grade, verifiable data pipelines — an audience not fully served by existing Solana RPC providers or the Solana Foundation's own tooling. Second, Ampersend's support for Solana as a settlement layer for x402 agent payments positions Edge & Node at the intersection of Solana's growing AI agent ecosystem and the payment infrastructure those agents need.

The company's founding role in The Graph gives it deep roots in blockchain data infrastructure, and its pivot toward enterprise compliance and agent economies reflects a calculated expansion into markets where institutional demand and regulatory clarity are accelerating adoption of Solana and other high-performance chains.
