About

CypherHunter

CypherHunter is a crypto intelligence platform built to give investors, researchers, and project teams a clear view of where capital is moving and who is deploying it across the blockchain industry. Founded in 2020 and based in Tokyo, Japan, the platform describes its mission as building an open data library and curation tools that help everyone understand what is happening in the blockchain industry, positioning itself as the data layer for the new crypto economy.

What CypherHunter Does

The platform aggregates, structures, and surfaces data on three interconnected layers: crypto projects, institutional investors and angel backers, and fundraising activity. Rather than focusing on price action or trading signals, CypherHunter is oriented toward venture-level intelligence -- understanding which products are being built, who is funding them, and at what stage.

Users can search for trending products and projects, explore investor portfolios to see where funds are placing bets, and track funding rounds in detail -- including round size, stage, lead investors, co-investors, and angel participants. This information is organized and cross-referenced so a researcher can, for example, look up a specific venture capital firm, see its full portfolio of crypto investments, and then drill into each deal to understand the broader syndicate behind it.

Key Features

Project discovery: CypherHunter covers 14,950+ products organized across more than 70 blockchain ecosystems. Projects are browsable by ecosystem, sector, and stage. Users looking for what is being built on a specific chain can filter to that ecosystem and see categorized lists of active projects.

Investor and fund intelligence: The platform maintains profiles on 4,090+ active crypto funds and firms, along with 3,300+ independent backers and angel investors. Each profile includes portfolio holdings, investment history, and participation in funding rounds. This makes it possible to identify which investors consistently back early-stage DeFi projects versus infrastructure plays, or to map the overlap between syndicates.

Funding round tracking: CypherHunter indexes crypto funding deals in detail, attaching each round to the projects funded, the investors involved, round type, and amount raised. Users can filter rounds by ecosystem, date, or investor. Monthly summaries provide macro-level context -- in July 2024, for instance, 122 blockchain funding rounds totaling USD 591.9 million were tracked on the platform.

Weekly and periodic reports: The platform publishes regular fundraising reports covering weekly deal flow by ecosystem and sector. As of August 2026, weekly reports continue to be published -- the most recent covering August 9-15, 2026 reported 18 million USD raised across eight projects, down 84.7 percent from the prior week.

Data scale: CypherHunter claims to collect more than 2 billion data points daily and tracks 150 fundamental variables across crypto-asset companies, drawing on financial data from more than 40 exchanges.

Solana Ecosystem Coverage

CypherHunter maintains a dedicated Solana ecosystem section covering the full range of Solana-native projects from DeFi protocols and infrastructure to launchpads and tooling. Solana appears alongside Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Sui, Avalanche, Aptos, Polygon, Optimism, and Blast as one of the major ecosystems with structured coverage on the platform.

For Solana-focused investors or project teams, CypherHunter surfaces funding data specific to the ecosystem, including which investors have a track record of backing Solana projects, what sectors are attracting the most Solana-ecosystem capital, and which newer projects are gaining traction. Key Solana-adjacent entities tracked include Solana Labs, Solana Ventures, Solar Eco Fund, and a range of Solana-native projects across DeFi, gaming, and infrastructure.

Business Model and Pricing

CypherHunter operates on a freemium model. Basic access -- including project search, investor profiles, and public funding data -- is available without a subscription. A paid tier starts at 9.90 USD per month and unlocks premium capabilities including exclusive quarterly and annual funding reports, a curated feed of early high-value crypto projects, ad-free reading, and tools for organizing research with lists and highlights. Premium-only content has included exclusive annual funding reports covering industry-wide deal flow trends.

Tokens and On-Chain Programs

CypherHunter is a data and intelligence product, not a DeFi protocol. It does not issue a native token, does not operate on-chain, and has no smart contract programs deployed on Solana or any other network. There are no staking mechanisms, liquidity pools, or governance tokens associated with the platform.

Team and Funding Status

CypherHunter has not publicly disclosed its founding team. The company is headquartered in Tokyo and, based on available records, has not raised any external venture funding -- it appears to operate as a bootstrapped business. No security audits are applicable given the platform is a web-based data service rather than a protocol or smart contract system.

Current Status

CypherHunter is actively operating as of August 2026. The platform publishes weekly funding roundups and maintains a live feed of crypto investment activity via its X account at @0xCypherHunter. Its database continues to expand across ecosystems and investor types, and its freemium model makes it accessible to individual researchers as well as institutional teams that use it for deal sourcing and market mapping.

For anyone tracking crypto venture activity -- particularly across a multi-chain context that includes Solana -- CypherHunter provides a structured, searchable record of who is funding what across the blockchain industry.
