Solana Q2 2026 Tokenized Asset Trading Hits $5.8B, Sixth Consecutive Quarterly Record
Blockworks' Q2 2026 Solana report shows tokenized asset trading hit $5.8B, up 114% QoQ and the sixth consecutive quarterly ATH, as network revenue fell 43%.
Solana's on-chain tokenized asset trading volume reached $5.8 billion in Q2 2026, a 114% increase from Q1 and the sixth consecutive quarterly all-time high, according to BlockworksBlockworks' Q2 2026 Solana Token Holder Report published July 20. The same quarter saw network revenue fall 43% and spot DEX volume contract by more than 40%, both attributed to retreating meme coin activity.
Tokenized Stocks Drive $4.8B of Q2 Volume as Solana Holds 96% of On-Chain Equity Trading
Tokenized equity products accounted for $4.8 billion of the $5.8 billion Q2 total, or roughly 97% of all blockchain-based tokenized stock trading during the quarter, per the Blockworks report. Solana's share of global on-chain equity volume exceeded 96%, according to CryptoBriefing, as institutional demand for programmable equity exposure remained concentrated on a single network.
That trajectory was already visible in June: Solana logged $10 billion in cumulative tokenized stock volume for the month, capturing approximately 95% of on-chain equity trading across all chains. The Q2 aggregate of $5.8 billion covers all tokenized assets across the full quarter, putting the total in line with the scale June's individual-month figures implied.
Six consecutive quarterly records represent an unbroken run of growth in a category that barely registered two years ago. The 114% sequential jump in Q2 makes the current pace one of the steeper acceleration points in that run.
Meme Coin Retreat Pulls Network Revenue to $51 Million, Down 43% from Q1
Real Economic Value, the metric that measures actual fee income generated on-chain rather than inflationary validator rewards, fell to $51 million in Q2 2026, a 43% decline from Q1, according to the Blockworks report. The report attributed the drop directly to a reduction in meme coin trading, a segment that had generated outsized transaction fee spikes during the peak speculative period of 2024 and early 2025.
DEX spot trading volume also contracted to $160.8 billion for Q2, down 44% from Q1's $288.5 billion per the same report. Solana retained its position as the leading chain by spot DEX volume despite the sequential decline.
The divergence between record tokenized asset volume and declining fee revenue reflects a compositional shift in what Solana's throughput is actually processing. RWA trading does not generate the same fee density per transaction as speculative activity, so growth in tokenized volumes can coexist with lower aggregate revenue, a dynamic likely to persist as institutional use cases scale without displacing retail demand.
Staking Holds at 427 Million SOL as ETPs Draw $120 Million in Net Inflows
The network's staking base stood at 427 million SOL as of quarter-end, approximately two-thirds of total circulating supply, according to the Blockworks report. That level indicates sustained validator participation independent of the quarterly revenue fluctuation.
SOL spot exchange-traded products recorded $120 million in net inflows during Q2, according to the same report. That figure remains modest relative to the staking base but reflects continued institutional appetite for regulated SOL exposure through traditional financial vehicles, separate from the on-chain activity driving the tokenized asset volume numbers.
The next quarterly report will show whether tokenized asset growth is large enough to lift Solana's aggregate fee base above the level meme coin volume once sustained.
